"I never asked to be like this!" Catori shouts, grabbing my jaw, "it was all because you didn't listen to me." She snarks, squeezing my jaw until it threatens to break. Her eyes are dark, threatening to swollen my soul.

I do the one thing I feel is right, and look at her with wide eyes.

"I'm so sorry." I apologise, tears filling my eyes with the guilt I feel for life I ruined. I am responsible for planting the seed that ultimately grew into the weed, darkness isn't born - it's created.

She looks at me shocked, and picks up the knife with shaky hands, lifting above her head as she prepares herself to stab me, wanting me to die a slow painful death. She wants to watch me die, to watch me pay for the mistake I made a lifetime ago. Yet, I do nothing to stop her, waiting for her to end everything I've worked for.

I breathe heavily, and stare with wide eyes as I prepare for the impact of the dagger. I think of Hunter, and the life I could've spent with him in the back of my head. The small family we would've created while living in the palace together, United - as King and Queen.

All I hope as she lowers the blade while screaming is that he is okay, and will be able to continue on with his life in peace, away from the elders who might prosecute him. I pray with my dying breathe that he will survive.

I worry for Saorsa, that hopefully someone might care and love her, allowing her to live freely without being contained in a cage. Hoping, that she will not be challenged for being different, for being unique and one of a kind, for being special.

I hope for Jay, that he reaches the Batail Wolves in time to save my people, and I hope that Xavier, Caleb and their sister are okay, barely even teens with so much to offer to the world, they've barely had the chance to live.

Lastly, I hope for my people, who have shown me nothing but love for the leader I was supposed to be. I hope that Saorsa and Jay can finally be the twins they were meant to be, sibling with a bond so powerful and magical. My last hope is that they never again are split.

In slow motion the dagger comes down, Catori screaming with an furious expression on her face as it lowers, her brown eyes gleaming.

I brace, knowing she's aiming for my heart.

Catori is then tackled to the ground, dropping the dagger as she falls. But it's too late, the knife was already over my body as she dropped it, and both I, Catori, and the palace guard that tackled her watch as the knife continues to fall, landing and inserting itself in my lower stomach.

I scream out in pain as it does so, causing a large puddle of blood to form around me, developing a strong river of blood. Catori grabs the guard and lifts him up by the throat, her eyes almost red as she doesn't squeeze the life out of him nor drain his energy, but digs her shark nails into his throat, drawing blood.

She continues to squeeze until his throat is ripped out and he falls to the ground lifeless, spattering more blood on my wedding dress. It begins to gradually fade into red where the knife is along with the hem of the dress.

He's eyes are open and he lies completely dead, I can't heal him, because not even I can raise the dead. The only person able to do that seemed to be the Moon Goddess.

I almost laugh when I realise I've managed to free one of my hands from behind me, carefully I attempt to free the other one and I wince as I move, I know that if I remove the dagger I'm going to loose a lot of blood, but it's a risk I'm going to have to take, all that I was hoping, was that I had the energy heal.

I needed a distraction.

I immediate think of the one thing I know she wouldn't tolerate and I pretend to be hiding something, acting extremely awkward, refusing to make eye contact. I push away the tears in my eyes as I try to ignore the pain the lower stomach is in.

Catori stares at me suspicious, narrowing her eyes at me as she looks behind us.

"Jay! Run!" I shout as loudly as I can, causing Catori to turn around and march off with a few men in the direction that I was shouting, buying myself a few minutes to escape.

Quickly, I release my other hand, breaking out of the ropes and wincing as I slowly remove the dagger from an inch below my belly button, leaving a large opening where blood starts to pool out all over me. I can't help but scream as it goes everywhere.

I grab the dagger and toss it beside me, breathing heavily as I begin to feel faint, but I can't pass out, I need to live, I need to find Hunter.

Falling in and out of consciousness I place my hands on my wound, screaming out as I do so, but after focusing, my hands begin to beat up, turning a vibrant red as the energy flows through them and into my body once again.

I watch as the wound begins to stitch itself back together, but I can feel myself slipping away, there's no energy left in me. My eyelids gets heavier as I watch Catori march back towards me, a disappointed grin on her face.

"No!" She shouts, "I needs to be me that causes your death!"

She stops before me, and grabs onto my neck, her hands turning red as she begins to suck what remaining energy I have out of me.

As my eyes begin to close, I watch as a large brown wolf jumps at her, clamping it's jaw around her neck and dragging her down. My heart starts beating.

As they both fall, the wolf turns and watches as my neck looses the energy to support my head as it tilts sideways. My eyes stare ahead with all the energy I have left.

The wolfs striking blue eyes open wide as it realises what's happening. I know those eyes, I always have. Those big, blue, beautiful striking eyes that I love.

The boy with the blue eyes that I love. Hunter.

So yeah, another shorter wee chapter for you. I plan on updating roughly twice a day as I want to finish for hitting our one year anniversary!

There's only a few chapters left to go and you guys are gonna absolutely kill me for what's about to happen, but I'll accept it. :)
