Hunters POV
—————————————————

The large hall was completely filled with Wolves from the Northern-Moon pack. All were here for Ce, all had come to honour, respect, and say goodbye to the queen who's grace they never received.

She was lying in a freshly made lilac blue dress, and her dark hair was positioned around her, naturally circling at the ends around the pink roses that were arranged beside her. She looked beautiful, but nothing would get me by the fact that her body was a lifeless, empty shell. She wasn't inside, because she was gone.

The intense amount of pain I felt while waking up in the morning caused me to want to end my own life. To be with her.

But I fought, I fought because I knew she'd want me to, wherever she was.

In the front row, half an hour before the service would start. Most people were here a day before to celebrate a wedding, but instead were granted with a funeral.

On either sides of Ceces body were Alec and Alpha Anaka, the entire kingdom had gone into mourning, and it hadn't hit anyone as hard as it hit Jay. The kingdom may have lost the only leaders they had, but he lost the one thing he had left.

He lost the only family he had just as quickly as he got them back. Just as he had begun to work things out with his father.

I walk out of the room, unable to look at Cece any longer. Every second I was near her was a reminder that I wasn't good enough, that because of me she died.

     I should've been better...for her sake.

Just as I'd begun to get her back, I lost her again, only this time, there's no reset button, no way of bringing her back to me. I continue pushing myself as far from her empty body as I can, trying too hard to stop the tears from falling down my face.

I need to be strong. I need to be strong.

Trying to push her face out of my memories isn't working, and I can feel myself becoming trapped. I'm trapped in an everlasting spiral of darkness that only continues to fall. Never seeing the light, never seeing it because there's none there to see. She was my light.

"Hey..." A familiar voice calls from behind me. Em smiles at me lightly, her cheeks red raw from the buildup of tears forming on her face. Her eyelashes damp and her skin fragile.

She walks over to me and wraps her arms around me, sighing as she does so.

"This never should've happened, not again." Her voice breaks as she holds me tightly. I would feel for Em, and he guilt she as dealing with. If was capable of any emotions.

"We both loved her, in different ways." She looks up to face me. "Make sure she knows that." Em cries as she pulls herself into my arms, holding me tightly and squeezing as I lower my head into her unbrushed hair.  She slowly lets go, and makes her way back to the large hall, not turning back to look at me.

"Make sure she knows that." Em's words repeat in my head, over and over as I search for a meaning. What did she mean by that? What on planet Earth was she going to do?

"Em?" I shout, as I cautiously begin to walk after her, my body still feeling the connection to Cecelia's.

"Em, what are you doing?" I ask as I walk back into the grand hall. The floor once again Clean, as all traces of blood are removed.

It's like it never happened. But it did.

The blood may not be there but the innocent lives of men, woman, and children are gone. Their blood spilled in a conflict that they were not concerned in.

A conflict that ended with nothing but death and mourning.

No one won. No one had victory, and if what we had was considered victory, I didn't want it.

I walk up to Em who has clutched Ceces cold hand, the tears freely streaming down her face and her large blue eyes are free from meaning.

"I need to do something." She states as she once again turns around to face Cece. Squeezing her hand lightly.

I try to look away from Ceces dead body, but I can't. I can't pull my eyes away from her, because I know that when the funeral ends she will be buried with her father in a hidden spot.

    I'll never see her again.

"I-I'm" Em cries as she clutches onto Cece.

"I-I'm bringing her back." Em turns to face me, her large blue eyes watery and swollen.

My breathing stops. Can she even do that?

"Emmaline? What do you mean?" I ask as I slowly make my way forward towards her.

"We need her here more than you need me." She cries as I put my hand on her shoulder. "Em, I'm not loosing you too, you can't." I add, but Em's decision was already made. There was no changing it.

"Don't lie to me Hunter, you'd rather her here than me." She bluntly states.

"You know what." I respond, worry and angst filling my bones."I would, Emmaline. I'd rather have the girl that I love back because I can't live without her and I'm selfish." I sigh, turning her to face me.

"But I won't let you go through with this, I won't let you trade your life for here." I shake my head at her, my breathing heavy.

"Your both too important dammit!" I shout, "if you do this Em, I will try to stop you." I state, gripping her shoulders tightly. Instead, she stares at me with a blank expression as she look at Cece's body once again.

She turns to face me with wide eyes and a confused expression. Lightly, she closes her eyes and whispers under her breath.

"Please....." she whispers. "Grant me this one last wish, allow me to do what I was created to do Moon Goddess." She whispers as she begins to glow a faint blue.

I run towards Em to stop her, but instead she opens her eyes and throws me to the other end of the room. Em has her powers back, she's no longer mortal.

"Emmaline!" I shout as I run towards her, but she's already leaning over Cece, she looks at me one last time. Telling me to let Cece know that she loves her.

As I reach her, there's a large flash of light. So bright that my eyesight is completely gone. I shut my eyes tightly as I'm thrown to the bottom of the stairs before Ceces body. When I open my eyes, Emmaline's completely gone.

And instead, Cece stands at the top of the stairs, and flashes me a bright smile as my expression drops.

Anyone else think this chapter is actually really cute. Ugh damn, last chapter afterwards, you'll hate me because it's not set afterwards. We've had a good few reunions and I'll leave it up to you guys to imagine
