“You what?” was the first thing that Becky said

“ermm-i-“ I stuttered

Becky suddenly squealed and ran over to me, engulfing me into a massive huge. I stood frozen in shock as I wasn’t expecting this reaction.

“I knew it!” she screeched

“Huh?”

“I knew you liked him! Now you two can fall in love, get married, have babies and then you’ll officially be my sister!” she was jumping up and down with a huge grin on her face.

I stared at her with my mouth hanging open “How did you know?” I finally choked out

“It was obvious, the way you looked at him. I’m so happy!”

“Whoaa, aren’t you suppose to be angry or annoyed that I like your brother. That is what any normal best friend would do”

“I’m not normal” the freakishly big grin on her face made me agree with her

“Yeah I know” I mumbled out

“Oh haha” she said sarcastically “So what are you going to do then?” she pulled me down onto her bed, still jumping with excitement. I swear she’s been taken over by an alien.

“What do you mean?” I was still slightly dazed by her reaction

“How are you going to woo my brother?” that snapped me out of my trance as I never thought about trying to make him like me

“He’ll never go for me” I mumbled

“Sure he would, you look sexy” she waggled her eyebrows at me

I burst out laughing “n-never do that a-again”

“Shut up” she whined

“Seriously don’t say that, it’s weird to hear you call me sexy” I shivered

“Can’t help but tell the truth” she winked at me, and then started laughing. I rolled my eyes, grabbed a pillow and threw it at her.

Going back to all seriousness, I said “but if he likes me now then I’ll know that he only likes me because of my new look” my face dropped

“Then he can be an idiot for not liking you rather than the way you look. In the end he’ll see past the looks and love you for the way you are” she smiled at me

I nodded “thanks” I said as I gave her a small smile.
