Today was the first day of class. She finally got to learn and have fun with people her own age. While she loved hanging out with the founders and Merlin she wanted to get to know people her own age.

While she wanted to have new books and quills she was perfectly fine to just use the old books of her parents. She just wanted to get to class on time. Once class had started to say the teachers were surprised would be an understatement. When they saw the boy who lived making such blunders it was a sad moment, but then they saw Harriett doing so good. They got mad seeing as how she always sat next to him. All of the teachers believed she was messing up the boys work, and was copying him, all except one. Severus Snape had seen how expertly she had worked and what a dunderhead the boy was. He could tell that even though he got James looks she got Lily's knowledge. How else would she have gotten in Ravenclaw for. She was smart beyond her years. And something only Severus seemed to notice was the scars lining her arms and legs. Severus swore then and their that he would protect her from the other teachers persecution. He knew what it was like to be pushed aside even if wasn't as severe as the girls obviously was.
