Once I got up to my room a couldn't stop smiling like an idiot. Today gave me butterflies in my stomach. Good butterflies. I was questioning myself so I called Alyssa. She has been dating her boyfriend Bradley for a steady year.
"Hello" Alyssa said as she answered he phone
"Hey, I have a question for you" I said while yawning
"How do you know if he's the one?"
"you'll just get this feeling, in your stomach and all over, you'll just know" Alyssa answered clearly tired
"Thanks" I said and hung up the phone
I changed into a large t-shirt and gym shorts and went to bed.
I woke to Fix You by Coldplay blaring through my speaker. I set my alarm still because I don't have my mom to wake me up since she's gone. She has worked more ever since dad pasted. So I did my regular routine. Go downstairs and find something to eat. Today I found some raisin bran in the cabinet. It's not my favorite but it's cereal so it doesn't matter. After eating I decided it would be a lazy
day. I went backup stairs, grabbed my phone and got dressed. I pulled on sweatshirt and some sweatpants. I grabbed the movie Ocean's 11 and put it in the DVD player. This is one of my favorite movie. Mostly how they pull off the casino heist is why I love it. After about 30 minutes into the movie I got a text.
From: Scotty:)
Hey wanna hang today?
To: Scotty:)
Sure! My house now?
From: Scotty:)
Be over in a bit:)
15 minutes late Scotty was at my door. I got up to greet him.
"Hey!" he said engulfing me in a bear hug
"Hey!"
He came in and we watched the remainder of the movie. We picked out The Change Up to watch next. After it was over I brought up the guitar offer.
"Scotty can I have your opinion on something"
"Sure"
"I was offered a spot in one direction as the guitarist"
"that's great! What are you gonna say?"
"I think I'm gonna say yes but I just needed some opinions"
"I would definitely take the offer" Scotty said while getting off the couch to change the movie
We watched The Bench Warmers and when it was over it was already 7:00. My mom walked in the door a few minutes after. She started making dinner while me and Scotty talked.
"Scotty would you join us for dinner?" my mother asked Scotty
"if you don't mind then I'd love to!"
"Let me help" Scotty said pulling me off the couch
We went into the kitchen and helped set the table. As soon as we had the table set dinner was ready. My mother had made spaghetti. It was delicious. I brought up the guitar subject to my mom and I had Scotty there to support me.
"Mom can I ask you so something?" I asked as calmly as I could
"Sure, anything"
"I got a guitarist position offer from a boy and named One Direction"
"Really? That's great!"
"I want your opinion"
"As long as you want to do it. I know playing guitar makes you extremely happy so maybe this position will be fun."
"So that means I can take the offer and go on tour with them?" I asked crossing my fingers under the table
"I want you to live your dream and these opportunities only come once in a while. You can go on tour with One Direction"
"Yay!" Scotty and I screamed while hugging each other and my mom.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" I screamed while running to the living room for no reason.
"Now help with the dishes you silly girl!" my mom said
After I finished I waked Scotty to the door, saying our goodbyes then I went to my bedroom. I pulled out my phone and called Josh.
"Hey Amanda!" Josh answered
"Hey, guess what?"
"What?"
"You have your self a guitarist!"
"Really? Sweet!"
"Yes really!"
"You should meet the others"
"How about my place tomorrow since I'm home alone?"
"Sounds great! Night love!"
"Night!"
I got dressed for bed and went to sleep, even though it was hard to sleep over excitement.
