Cafe - Hwitae

     "Youngkyun-ah, do you have work today?" Hwiyoung slowly awoke to the sound of his mom's voice. He saw her standing in the doorway.

     "No, I'm off today. I plan on hanging out with Rowoon hyung later." She nodded as he sat up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

     "Breakfast is ready. Come down before it get's cold." She turns and heads down the large staircase. Although he had no desire to start the day, he forced the blankets off of himself and hopped out of bed. He could smell the food from his room.

     "Is Mina awake?" Hwiyoung shouted as he descended to the ground floor. His sister peeks her head around the corner.

     "I've been up. Do you even realize what time it is?" Hwiyoung shakes his head and turns into the kitchen. "it's 11:45. You slept forever."

     He simply shrugged before sitting down and digging into his meal. They all sat and ate in silence, the only noise was the sound of utensils scraping plates. After a little while, Hwiyoung stood up.

     "Thanks, mom." He puts his dishes in the sink and goes back upstairs. He unlocks his phone and checks the time. He has about two hours before he needs to start getting ready. Maybe he can pass the time by reading. Hwiyoung looks over his small collection of books. He's read all of them a few times already. "Maybe it's time to get some more."

     Either way he picks up a random one and plops down onto his bed. He flips through the worn out pages. He can only read a little bit before setting the book down. He's read it so many times it hardly holds his interest anymore. He get's up to take a shower and get dressed. Might as well be ready for later.

     Hwiyoung and Rowoon walked hand in hand down the pathway through the park. They kept getting weird stares but neither boy seemed to mind. They both new that one of them was in a very committed relationship and they didn't intend on changing that. Out of all the times someone made a rude comment, Rowoon only snapped once. A new record.

     "So hyung, are you ready for school? It's starting in a few weeks, isn't it." Rowoon tilted his head back and looked at the clouds, trying to form an answer.

     "I guess so. Most of us will still be together, but that doesn't negate the fact that it is all for our 'educational benefit.' Hardly a benefit, if you ask me." Hwiyoung noticed that about Rowoon. Most of the time he was very happy and gushing about how sweet and beautiful Chani was, but he could be quite pessimistic other times. He just nodded not really knowing what to say after that. "So, how is it going with Sunshine?"

     "It always comes back down to that, doesn't it? You guys seem so interested in it."

     "It's exciting! Tae has been so lonely for so long. It's really quite worrying." Hwiyoung turned at looked at the older boy.

     "What do you mean by that?"

     "It's just the last person he dated was Hanmin, and she moved away when she was 10." Hwiyoung giggled. "Anyway, what is happening?"

     "There isn't anything to it really. We've been talking. I guess we are friends." He shrugged. Rowoon let go of his hands and turned him to face him. He looks at his eyes. Hwiyoung can't hold back the blush that spreads across his cheeks, leaving them a dusty pink.

     "There is certainly something to it. I see that look in your eyes. Not to mention that blush." Hwiyoung's hands went up to his cheeks as Rowoon turned back to the path ahead of them. "Nothing to it my ass."

     "Instead of meddling in my nonexistent love life, how is yours? How's the lucky guy doing?" Rowoon's face lit up and he actually started skipping down the path. Hwiyoung had to speed walk to keep up.

     "Oh my god, so last week he came into the shop. He brought me flowers and oh my god I was so happy I started crying. My parents came out and he met them and he was so sweet. At first they were a little awkward because they knew I was in a relationship but they didn't know who I was dating let alone that it was a guy. I mean they figured I was gay I mean like c'mon have you seen me exist? But they were very supportive. He even came over for dinner. OH! And like two days ago, I was in my feelings and shit and he came over with some ice cream and chocolate and we watched Friends until the sun came up and he let me cry. Also..." Hwiyoung smiled as he listened to Rowoon go on and on about Chani. He looked up and saw the dark clouds rolling in.

     "Rowoon, sorry to interrupt but it looks like it's going to rain. Wouldn't to get stuck in it and get sick. You can go on and on about Chani on the walk home." Rowoon nods as they turn around. Just as Hwiyoung expected, the older boy continued to gush about his love.

Another shorter chapter. Since the last chapter was supposed to be the beginning to this one, I had absolutely no idea how to start this. YAY! The last chapter was completely in the cafe, so none of this one was. How do you feel about that? I want a good part of his story set in the cafe by there isn't much to do if all of it is.

Everyone go blast Candy by Samuel. Who cares if it's almost been a month. It's a bop and he's precious.

I may go through and edit my chapters soon so sorry if it spams your notifs. I figured it will be easier every couple of chapters rather than everything all at once. Lemme know what you think. Feel free to comment.
