On December 18th, 2017 Kim Jonghyun of SHINee was found in critical condition and died on his way to the hospital. He died due to carbon monoxide poisoning after staying in a hotel room while a coal briquette was burning. He had texted his sister and she contacted the police saying he "seemed to be suicidal." Now all of this is statements. This could be wrong and please correct me if I am.
Mental Illness is a very important issue that people need to be not only more aware of, but more willing to talk about. This is just one of the situations to show that you can't just assume someone is happy based off of how they act. We don't know what he was going through and we may never know. All we know is that he's gone and he will be missed.
I have more I could say based on personal experience and the experiences that have been told to me but I think I should leave it here.
