Yuki was given the task to give a new night class student a tour of the academy which I thought was strange, father would usually have zero or myself lead new vampires around the school. I decided to address my concerns by going to the headmaster. He chatted to me about a few things before there was a clearing for me to ask.
"Father, why is it you had Yuki show the new student around the academy?"
"Well she seems like the trouble making type, I didn't want her to expose you in anyway so I thought it best you miss out this time."
"Then why not Zero?" I asked. No answer came. "Father?"
"I don't really know why myself considering the girl wanted to see him the most."
"What do you mean?"
"When she first applied for the school she said something about finally being able to see Zero with her own eyes."
"How peculiar. I wonder, do they know each other somehow? They most likely wouldn't be friends knowing Zero do you suppose she's come here to cause him grief over a previous incident?"
"That may be the case. (y/n), I want you to keep an eye on Zero for me, but don't get too close should Maria show up."
"Maria huh? What does she look like?"
"Well she has a light shade of purple for her hair, she's about the same height as Yuki, lavender eyes."
"Okay, I'll keep a look out for her." I left the office and found Zero as quickly as I could. He was standing idly under a tree so I climbed up another not to far from him and observed. I sat on the wide branch for about ten minutes before Zero called out.
"How long do you intend to sit in that tree and watch me?"
'Dang he knew I was here.' I jumped out and gracefully landed on my feet then approached him. "Firstly, I wasn't watching you in particular and secondly, I can sit there as long as I want, what's it to you? And don't say we're still on duty either because all you were doing was loitering." I punched him in his shoulder a little too roughly when I got close enough.
"Ow, that hurt." He coughed.
I leant against the same tree that he was just around from him. "Anyway I was talking to father not too long ago. He told me that girl you saved from that level E the other day is doing fine. They managed to erase the entire mishap from her memories so she can go back to living normally soon. Isn't that good news?"
"Not really. I didn't go out on that job just to save someone. What I wanted had nothing to do with it. It was just work."
"Somehow I already new that. But it's nice to think that you managed to help someone instead of just adding more casualties to that level E's list."
"I guess."
"Hey Zero, (y/n)." Yuki greeted us as she walked up to us.
"Hey Yuki." I smiled.
"What are you two just standing around for?! We're still working." She scolded us.
"Okay okay I'm going." I sighed then pushed myself upright from the tree. Someone was coming toward us and I turned to face them taking a step forward. I was beside Zero and our eyes both landed on the figure.
'Yuki's height, purple hair, purple eyes, night class uniform, oh crap please don't say anything.'
Before anyone could say anything Zero ripped his gun from his blazer and pointed it at the being. I looked up to see his face full of anger. Yuki stood in front of the girl while I unconsciously cowered slightly behind Zero. He withdrew the bloody rose and stood in shock.
