St. Chocolates Day was coming up and I was dreading it. Everyone was already talking about it in class, again. It was tomorrow and I already knew what these girls were like. I wasn't ready for the screaming and squealing and fainting and all of that crap. Just thinking about it made me wanna disappear for a while.
I was in the office with Zero and Yuki while father gave us a small speech about tomorrow's event.
"So tomorrow is St. Chocolates day. The entire school is already buzzing with excitement. The truth about the night class could easily be revealed in all this frenzy. I need you to be more alert than usual. Is that understood Guardians?"
I sighed and slouched in response. Yuki responded positively meanwhile Zero suggested banning the event altogether. I could go for that.
"Zero. If I were to do that there would be a riot. This allows students to let off a little steam. Of course the day class is going to fawn over the night class. All of the vampires are incredibly accomplished and beautiful people. If they're our allies then they're a great resource to us."
Yuki spoke as she looked at zero. "I think that look means how dare you compliment them in front of me." We all looked at Zero and his expression was full of pure rage.
"He's not happy." I said.
"Yeah, got it." Father said. "I know all too well that vampires have been the enemies of humans for many centuries. But there are vampires out there who want to peacefully coexist"
'Got that right. But no.' I thought to myself as I rolled my eyes at the thought.
Father continued to speak."And I'm proud to educate the children of such vampires. Your generation can build the bridge that connects our two species. Zero look, I know it's difficult. But someday you will come to understand my philosophy."
"I doubt it." He practically spat the words out. "Not unless you can make the past disappear."
"They are nothing but beasts in human form that drink the blood of living humans, that's your view?" The headmaster said with a cold tone and it turned quiet.
"Well this has been a great meeting sorry to cut it short but I'm supposed to be busy right now bye guys." I rambled with great speed and dashed out of the room, desperate to get away from that tension. I ran down to the kitchen and grabbed a bite to eat before heading to my last class for the day.
I sighed. I'd always known Zero's ideology of vampires ran along those lines, but when you say it out loud it can be really nerve racking. Especially for someone like myself, who is in fact a vampire. We'd gotten a little closer over the past months since it happened. I didn't want to lose that and I refused to let him find out what I was. I didn't fully understand why he couldn't know in particular, but I wouldn't let it happen.

Yuki caught up to me and asked me if I was okay.
"Yeah, you know me, I just can't stand being in such a tense environment. It makes me really anxious." I answered with a small smile.
"So are you giving anyone chocolates this year?" She asked.
"Just father and Zero as usual. What about you? Are you going to give Kaname any?"
"Huh? What are you talking about? Why would I do that?" She was flustered as she attempted to cover up her feelings.
"It's okay Yuki." I giggled. "I know and I promise it's a secret." I did know the situation, very well in fact.
