My eyes snapped open as the memories suddenly stopped. Everything was out of focus. I was shaking in someone's arms. My throat felt sore. How long had I been screaming? I untangled my fingers from my hair to touch my face. How long had I been crying?

"Lavana," There was a gentle voice trying to call me into reality, "You're safe. It's alright."

My vision began to clear as everything stilled around me. My wings were flared out around me but still, someone was holding me close to their chest. My fingers reached out to grip his shirt. I was still shaking despite the warmth surrounding me. I could feel the cold flowing through my veins.

I tried to focus on my breathing as I called my wings to disappear. This eased the person holding me as their arms moved to rub, my now free, back. I could still feel tears spilling down my face as I shifted to look at golden eyes.

"You're okay. I got you."

My hands loosed on him when I started to notice the blood covering him. He noticed the reaction quickly.

"I'm alright. It's just a scratch."

My mind seemed to ignore the words as my eyes shifted around the room. Everything... everything was out of place... Almost as if a tornado had burst through the room. The furniture was thrown around wildly. I didn't know what to make of it.

"Lavana, focus on me."

He cupped my face and kept me from continuing to look at the damage I was realizing I had done.

This was me.

"Can you tell me what you saw?"

He was letting me ease away from him to wrap my arms around myself.

"I-I... Di-Diana..."

I shut my eyes as I felt ice wrap around me and shoot out across the entire room. Images replayed in my head. I couldn't...

I screamed as the ground slipped from underneath me. Diana's fury-filled eyes disappeared as I fell. I screamed in fear as my fingers reached out in the fruitless hopes of grabbing onto something. The beautiful greens that had surrounded me before were gone as I fell and fell.

Excruciating pain wrapped around my whole body as my body hit stone and water. My bones cracked as the freezing river filled my lungs. The taste of iron filled my mouth as the water dragged me down into its rushing abyss. I didn't know if I was crying or not as my bones continued to shatter from slamming into the sharp rocks. I felt like a ragdoll. I couldn't do anything as my blood dissolved in the water. The river just surged, pulling me with it. It was merciless as I choked on its water.

My world filled with blues and whites before it faded into nothing.

I was screaming again.

My hands roamed my body cruelly as I searched for those broken bones. My heart pounded as the rushing of water tried to consume my head. Everything felt surreal and fake as I tried to find the blood that should have been on me.

"Lavana," his hands were on my shoulders, "Lavana, you're safe. Nothing is going to hurt you. You're safe. You're okay."

"I'm so sorry. I hurt you," there were sobs falling out of me as I pushed myself away from him, "I didn't mean to."

The words repeated and repeated as I let the dark blood covering his body sink in.

"You shouldn't be near me," I kept inching away from him, "I hurt you-"

"Lavana, I have been through much, much worse. This is nothing. Don't feel bad. There are plenty who would say I deserved it."

"That doesn't make it okay!" my wings appeared to wrap around me, "Oh angels, what have I done! You let me into your home and yet I-I... I come in and destroy it and hurt you?"

"Lavana, truly, it's alright. I know you meant no harm. I could never be mad at you."

Confused, I peeked between my wings so he could see my tear-stained face.

"What do you mean you could never be mad at me? What does that mean?"

My emotions and thoughts were jumbled. I could feel the waves of ice in me but also a fire. The sensations were burning my insides. I couldn't understand. I was trying to but I just wasn't.

"Lavana," Ash placed a hand on my wing sending sensations down my spine, "Calm down."

He tilted his head and flicked his eyes to the side. I folded my wings behind me to see a blizzard swirling around me. Everything froze in place as my heart became lodged in my throat. The storm that was flurrying around us had halted. Fierce ice crystals were frozen in place. I let out a small puff of air to see it all drop to the floor. The ice vanished at the touch of it leaving only clouds of cold air in its wake.

"I-I, h-how did, I-I?" I could feel the cold waves of air on my skin making tears start falling again. My thoughts changed quickly as the sensations reminded me of the rapid waters, "I-I died. She killed me."

"Killed you-"

I didn't let him finish as I let out another vicious sob.

"I just wanted to break up. I didn't want t-to be dragged around anymore. I just wanted to help the people in the town rebuild."

"Lavana-"

"I-I broke up with her and she killed m-me for it."
