"Diana," Aria's sweet voice reached me from across the room.

I picked up the empty jar in front of me and filled it with the ginger roots Aria had placed in front of me. I didn't respond to her as I sealed the jar and carefully labeled it and placed it next to the other handful of jars I had already filled. My thoughts were lost in the memories I was getting back.

I broke my thoughts as I heard her footsteps as she made her way across the room. She placed a gentle hand on my shoulder, and I spun in the chair to face her.

"Thank you, for all your help Diana. But I think I'll be fine for the rest of the day. Darren wanted to meet you in the gardens today. He said he made some plans to help keep your spirits up. I think he might just show you around."

She fidgeted a bit as she went to the other side of the room again. I slowly stood up already feeling the regret that I knew I was going to have for going to go meet Darren.

"I made this," Aria's face was bright as she came to stand in front of me, "There should be a big enough lunch in here for the both of you."

"Thank you, Aria." I gave her a small smile before grabbing the small backpack from her.

"To get to the garden's, " She led me to the door and pointed to the left, "go to the end of the hall and take a right, once you get to that hall take a left and the garden should be on your right. It's very beautiful there I hope you love it."

"Thank you. I'll see you later then."

I gave her a small smile as I followed her instructions. The white marble halls seemed never-ending as I walked holding tightly onto the bag. My wings were tight behind me as I blankly took in my surrounding.

What was I doing? What was I planning to do as an angel? I needed to figure things out fast. I didn't know what Lavana was planning. She had tried to kill me, and she would have done it if she wasn't held back. I bit my cheek when I tried to put my wings away to no avail.

I stepped into the garden with a defeated sigh. I could already see Darren at the far end of the place. I wove through the stunning flowers no one would ever believe to be real due to their perfection and stunning colors.

"Diana!" Darren rose from one of the stone benches when he saw me. His wings spread out behind him as he ran up to grab my wrist.

I bit down the part of me that wanted to slap him for touching me so freely.

"I'm glad you're here," He dragged me to the open wall at the edge of the garden. I took a step back when I saw there was no floor or ground on the other side of the opening. "I wanted to bring you on a mission with me on the human's land."

"I-I." Hesitation echoed out of my body as I inched away from the edge, "I..."

"It's going to be fun Diana," He ignored my fears and threw me off the edge.

I screamed as air surrounded me and I began to plummet.
