I was taken to a single bed room, he shoved me in and whispered goodnight, I lay there tossing and turning for a while, my dreams all nightmares plagued with the memories of what happened to Daniel so I give up trying to sleep, dreading the demons that lurked in my nightmares, the unknown tormented me not knowing if Daniel was ok, the waiting tortured me, the waiting to see what terrible fate awaited me, I could only imagine what Sebastian would do, what this new Sebastian was capable of.

I decided to make a run for it even though previous attempts had failed miserably, I couldn’t wait any longer, the anxiety was killing me, the more I thought about it, about how fast Sebastian was, about how strong he was and how brutal he could be and that was but a mere fraction of his strength, the odds were not in my favour, but I had to try, for Daniel.

I crept along the ice cold floor boards, avoiding the ones that creaked. I swung open the door and ran as fast as I could, he grabbed me at the waist, pulling me towards him, we slammed into the wall as I scrambled to get away. He picked me up then, I kicked him hard in the leg, he grunted, “someone’s persistent aren’t we” he hisses and carries me kicking and screaming back into the room, locking the door firmly behind us, he throws me onto the bed and turns towards a cupboard close to the door, I was now trapped, his body blocking the only exit.

He turns to me now, holding a long piece of rope as I try to hide, cowering in the corner of the bed, he climbs on to the bed and pins me down, I struggle to free myself, he slaps me hard, as I sob helplessly, he grabs my left arm and ties it to the bed frame, he ties my other arm too, then ties my legs too, he now holds on to my neck, forcing down on my wind pipe as he spoke, “I told you to go to sleep, don’t make me come in here again” he warns, his eyes are blazing with anger and his breath is hot on my face, he draws the quilt up just under my chin and tucks me in, then slowly and silently leaves the room.
