I was quite hesitant to meet up with Ashlynn due to what had happened the last time we saw each other coupled with the fact we hadn't had a proper conversation sin about eight months. But I caved after she'd begged me quite a lot. I didn't want to be in a private place so we agreed to meet in the food court at the mall. Once I'd finally arrived I searched for her. I spotted her from half was across the food court so I shoved my hands into my pockets and trudged over. She looked absolutely stunning. I slumped down in the chair and stared at her for a few seconds.
"What do you want?" I asked coldly.
Ashlynn didn't even respond, she just spun the bag around and pushed it closer to me. I was baffled but opened the bag anyway. It was just a bag of pregnancy tests.
"This is why I wanted to do this in private," she told me meekly.
"What? That you're pregnant?" I had no ide what this had to do with me.
"Six weeks," she confirmed.
"So? What does this have to do with me?" I questioned.
"What was six weeks ago Luke?" I stared at her in confusion but it finally clicked.
"No way," I denied and shoved the bag back over to her.
"The proof is right there," she kinda sassed.
"How do I know it's mine? I don't know how many guys you've fucked in the past eight or so weeks or whatever," my voiced was slightly raised.
She took a deep breath before speaking, "before the party I hadn't had sex in over a month."
"I want a DNA test," I demanded, crossing my arms over my chest and slumping down even more.
"I researched it but it's very dangerous to do while pregnant so we need to wait until after it's born," she explained but it sounded like a crock of shit.
"Why do I care if it dies? That can't be my kid," shock had hit me like a truck and it seemed like it had hit her too.
"Wow Luke," her words were strained.
"Well how can I believe you?" I was sitting up straight now and almost glaring at her.
"Whatever. I don't know what I expected from someone like you. Don't be in it's life then but make sure you never appear in mine ever again," she demanded and held her hand out. I was so confused, "phone," she demanded and clicked her fingers.
I hesitantly handed it over but did. I watched her go through my phone but when she handed it back my contact for her that was under "❤️" was gone along with our conversations. She grabbed her wallet, keys and the bag before standing up.
"Goodbye Luke," she deadpanned and walked off.
I watched her shove the bag into the bin then walk out of my sight. I slumped back in the chair and rubbed my face. She must have been mistaken. It couldn't be my kid. I got up aggressively and speed walked to my car. Once I was home and inside I slammed the door and stomped my way to my room. I flopped myself down on my bed and let out a massive sigh. There was a light knock on my door then I felt someone sit on my bed.
"What's wrong love?" I heard mum ask as she rubbed my back.
I was silent for a while before I rolled over and looked up at her, "how likely is it for someone to get pregnant after...I don't know," I groaned and she removed her hand from my arm.
"Did you get someone pregnant?" she asked din shock.
"Ashlynn recons I did but I believe it's a crock of shit," I shrugged.
"Why would she lie Luke?" she seemed like of angry.
"I don't know but I don't know how may guys she's slept with. I don't know if the kid is mine. How do I even know she's pregnant? She's a known liar mum," I ranted.
"We're going over there," she told me then stood up.
"I was told never to see her again," I shrugged and grabbed my phone out of my pocket.
"Luke Robert Hemmings we are gong over there right now," she insisted.
"I'm not seeing her mum," I denied.
She suddenly bent down and grabbed hold of my ear. I yelped in pain and got off my bed. I begged for her to stop but she dragged me by my ear so she could grab her keys then to her car.
"Get in," she demanded but I groaned in response.
When we got to Ashlynn's house I refused to get out...just like a child. She ended up opening my door and grabbing my ear again.
"Ow!" I screamed at her but she just rolled her eyes.
She knocked on the door rather forcefully but to my surprise Arielle or whatever her name was answered it. She stared me down, which was honestly a little intimidating.
"She doesn't want to see you Luke," she sassed.
"Is Coleen home?" mum asked.
"I'll get here. Please don't think I'm rude but I'm just looking out for Ashlynn," she smiled sweetly but shut the door.
Coleen answered the door, gave me a disproving look but smiled at mum. They exchanged hellos and we were invited inside. I stuffed my hands in my jean's pockets and waited. Soft thuds started coming from the stairs and down walked Ashlynn. Her hair was now thrown up and she looked like she's been crying. She wiped her face and tried to look confident.
"Hormones," she simply stated.
"My idiot sons wants to apologise," I looked at her but she just nudged my side.
"Fine," I sighed. "I'm really sorry for how I acted and if you would let me..." I looked at mum and she nod, "I'd really like to be in the babies and your life."
