I changed my mind on who plays Dan. I alays imagined him to look like the guy in the media so he now plays Dan. Just some random guys. So yeah. In the media is Dan, his room, his tattoo that was mentioned when he and Ashlynn first met, the rest of his tattoos and what they were watching. So yeah.
Dan and I had stopped in for lunch at Hungry Jacks and eaten it in his car on the way back to his place. We had his phone plugged into the car and I was surprised to hear Blank Space by Taylor Swift come on.
“We can get married now,” I said and he looked at me funnily.
“What?” he asked.
“You like Blank Space. You are now marriage material,” I explained.
“Oh. Don’t we have to start dating first?”
“That’s your call,” I said, giving him a hint.
“Right,” he said then took a sip of his drink.
“So…what will we be doing at your house?” I asked.
“I don’t know. It’s pretty boring but you make it less boring”
“Trying to win me over I see,” I said and we both laughed.
“I try,” he winked.
“So smooth”
“Any smooth and I’d trip on the ice”
“Let’s hope you do”
“That’s so mean”
“I am mean”
It was silent for a while before he spoke again, “I heard about what’s going on between you and Daisy”
“Who told you?” I inquired.
“Daisy”
“Let me guess…she told you I’m the bitchy one and this is all my fault”
“No actually. She told me she was the one in the wrong”
“Huh”
“What?”
“Nothing”
I smiled when we pulled up at Dan’s house. His little sister was playing out the front with one of her friends.
“Ashlynn!” she shouted and ran over, hugging my leg.
“Hey Misty,” I smiled.
“Are you trying to steal her from me?” Dan asked.
“No,” she giggled then let me go.
I grabbed my duffle bag from the backseat of Dan’s car then followed him inside. Agnes, his mother, greeted me with a big smile and a hug. I ended up tossing my stuff into Dan’s room and we laid on the couch.
“You’re night…your house is boring,” I told him.
“Told you”
“Can we watch Family Guy?” I asked, looking up at him.
“How did you know I have it?” he asked in surprise.
“The box set is on the shelf,” I pointed out and he nod before getting up.
I watched him put the DVD into his PS4. I couldn’t help but stare of his biceps. His muscles were flexing and I felt my face flush when he caught me staring at him. To my utter surprise when he’d set everything up he stood up his full height and pulled his shirt off.
“What the hell?” I asked him.
“It’s not and I hate wearing shirts,” his words kind of got lost due to me examining his light six pack. “Ashlynn,” he said then waved his hands in front of my face.
“I was totally paying attention,” I said, meeting his eyes.
“Oh really? What did I say then?” he asked smugly.
“Probably something along the lines of “are you staring at my abs”,” I said and he chuckled.
“Not even close. I asked if you wanted anything to drink”
“Water. Water sounds good right now”
“Your face is red,” he pointed out as he walked into the kitchen.
“And you’re hot. What’s your point?” I asked and he chuckled again.
“So did you ever end up losing your virginity at the party?” he asked me casually.
“Dude, your mum is like…right there,” I said and pointed to her study.
“She doesn’t care. My little sister swear like there’s no tomorrow. She’s cool with anything,” he explained.
I rolled my eyes at him then sighed, “yeah…I did”
“To who?” he asked, intrigued.
“Did you ever meet Luke?” I asked, hoping he’d say no.
“Oh yeah I know him. Tall, skinny, blonde hair?”
“Yeah…him”
“Ah see I thought he hooked up with Danielle,” he said, slightly surprised.
“Yeah apparently he chicken out,” I said and leant against the bench.
“Was he good?” I stared at him with wide eyes and he just looked at me as if he’d asked a normal question. “What?”
“You did not just ask me that”
“I’m genuinely curious,” he said.
“I…I don’t know. I don’t have anything to compare it to,” I said and he nod before pouring me a glass of water. “So…” I said after I’d taken a drink. “How many girls have you been with?”
“If I tell you, you’ll hate me,” he said as he poured himself a glass of Coke.
“I won’t hate you”
“Yeah you will”
“How do you know? I’m already guessing it’s big and I don’t hate you”
“The things is that I don’t know”
“Oh. So you’re like a school slut of sorts?” I asked, trying to hide my smile.
“I guess you could say that”
“I’m dating a slut. Yay,” I said then realised what I’d said, and apparently so did Dan. “Sorry”
“You could be ya’ know,” he said with a cheeky smile.
“I’m only going to agree if you ask me properly,” I said and he stayed silent. “C’mon. Let’s go watch Family Guy,” I said, leaving my cup on the bench.
I sat myself on the couch and started playing with a loose thread in the rip in my shorts. I didn’t look at Dan when he sat down. It seemed kind of tense and I didn’t really like that. I’d been here for five minutes and I’d already made things awkward. We sat in silence for a while. The episode was about Chris dating the most popular girl in school or something.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” Dan suddenly asked.
“What?” I asked and looked at him, seeing if I’d heard him correctly.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” he asked again.
I couldn’t stop the smile on my face, “yes,” I said then leant in and kissed him.
