Ashlynn's and Arielle's outfits for this chapter.

The doctor's office was quite dreary. I sat next to Arielle, picking at my nail polish, as she filled out the sheet for me. I answered questions distractedly as I stared at the door in front of me. I wanted to escape.
"Are we just going to ignore the fact his name for you in his phone was a red heart?" Arielle suddenly asked.
"I don't know either," I said then looked from my nails to her. "Weren't you wearing that outfit the night this all happened?"
"No. I was wearing a different colour top and a skirt," she defended.
"Ashlynn MacAuley," the doctor called.
Arielle and I both stood up and followed her into the room, "so we're here for your first ultrasound?" she confirmed.
"Yeah," I smiled weakly
"Alright well I need you to undo your overalls so I can do the ultrasound," she instructed.
I sat up on the bench, took off my jacket and undid the straps then laid down. I flinched at how cold the gel was and Arielle giggled at me. My breath hitched when she placed the wand on the gel. I felt my heart stop beating once I saw the little bean in the screen. I reached out for Arielle's hand and she immediately squeezed it.
"That's your baby," she whispered against my hand.
I wiped away the tears in my eyes as I watched the screen, "so when can she find out the gender?" Arielle questioned.
"In about ten weeks. We tend to get the most accurate idea at about sixteen to twenty weeks," she explained. "You see the little blinking light? That's it's heartbeat," she pointed out.
"God I need to pee," I whispered to Arielle and she burst out laughing.
"I'll just take a few measurements and some pictures then you can run to the bathroom," she smiled.
After everything was done and I wiped the gel off my stomach I collected the pictures from the front desk. Arielle was struggling to keep up as I was pretty much running to find the nearest bathroom. Once I found one I barged in and locked the stall.
"Do you wanna have a gender reveal party?" Arielle asked through the door.
"I just want to make it past the safe threshold before I think about stuff like that," I called back.
"Do you want a boy or a girl?" she questioned but stepped back once I opened the door.
"I don't know. Probably a girl," shrugging my shoulder while I washed my hands, Arielle just watched. "All I know is I'm hungry," she nod and followed me out of the hospital and to my car.
We decided to go to the mall since I could also stop in and show Luke the pictures after we were done eating. I ended up smashing down half a kebab before my phone started to ring. I mentally cursed due to me having a mouthful of food but answered anyway.
"Hello," my voice may have been muffle due to all the food.
"How'd it go?" Luke's deep voice asked from the other end.
"Yeah good. If you're on your break come to the food court cause I have some stuff to show you," I told him.
He agreed then hung up. It only took him five minutes to meet us.
"What do you have to show me?" he asked, taking a sip from my drink.
"Um okay A that was my drink and B..." I handed over the ultrasound photos and he froze in shock.
"That's our baby?" he asked in total disbelief.
"Yeah. We got to see its heartbeat," I beamed.
"It was pretty epic," Arielle added.
"Sucks I had to work. I wish I could have seen that," he sighed.
"Keep November eighteenth free then cause that's the next ultrasound and we get to find out the gender," I told him excitedly.
"Have you discussed much with your mum about paying for things and living arrangements and such?" he questioned without breaking eye contact with the photos.
"Kian and I are gonna swap bedrooms since his is the closest to the bathroom. But other than that the baby is gonna sleep in my room with me," I shrugged.
"Do you want or need me to...pay...for anything?" he slowly turned his head to look at me.
"Nah we've got it covered. But thanks," I smiled.
"Well just let me know. Mum also told me we need to sit down and discuss living arrangements for the baby and what our plan is for everything," he rambled on.
"We're all gonna be out tonight so," Arielle suggested.
I rolled my eyes because I knew what she was thinking, "yeah just come over tonight," I shrugged then took a bite of my kebab.
"Alright. Well I'm gonna grab something to eat," he told us then walked off.
"And you don't even need to worry about protection," Arielle joked.
I leant over and punched her arm, "you're disgusting."
"You're the one that's always telling me about how horny you are," she shrugged then ate a mouthful of her sushi.
