Callis sat on the seat for which would take her to her new world, The School For Good And Evil.
Callis was pretty shy for a girl her age, at her last birthday, her fourteenth, she had two people. Not including her family. And one of them was her favorite nanny. One could guess three, but the whole family assumed Merlin as a grandfather almost.
"Blow out the candles Callie!" Vanessa had smiled, Callis blew a few out, Vanessa helped blow the rest out. The smoke flew up in a rainbow smoke. They smiled watching the magic turn itself into a bird of smoke wishing Callie a happy birthday. Vanessa had been so happy for her best friend. She wanted to tell her what her mom had told her that morning, how they were really sisters...not just best friends. It was during spring break, one of the few times Vanessa saw her mom. Sophie didn't come to the party as she had been semi-banned. At the last party, Agatha and Tedros were out of town on royal business. Sophie had been left to throw the party. It ended up with a fire and a screaming newly thirteen year old, Callis' aunt had turned her birthday into a selfish pageant for Sophie. And only Sophie. No surprise there.
"Whatcha thinkin' about?" Andrew plopped himself on the seat next to Callis, who went cold.
"Oh. My.." She tried to think what to say, her aunt? Her birthday? "How pretty all these flowers are!" she gave him a small smile, dimples pulling at her cheeks.
"Well, I was hoping you would be thinking about your luggage. Which, for your information, you left on the ground." Andrew answered shaking his head with light laughter at his own shenanigans.
Callis went pink. "T-thanks.." she stuttered looking down, pushing her black curly hair away from her face.
"Move it Andrew." Vanessa voiced pushing away the brunette boy from her best friend. Andrew put up little fight before dropping down, winking at Callis before running off to his real seat.
"Dweeb." Vanessa giggled sitting down next to the blushing princess of camelot. She let out a sigh. "Yea. Sure. Dweeb." she gave Vee a smile, before closing her eyes, leaning her head back, hands clutching her suitcase as she fell into dreams of happily ever after full of friends she knew she could never make.
