chapter 22: Floral Makeover fails

The yard in front of the school for good and evil was blooming with girls. Each gigantic colorful flower in the front gardens opened up with a beautiful princess stepping out. Hair flowing, eyelashes longer, and uniforms on point.
All except a few flowers, all of which has girls who just needed some extra time for that perfect face.
But there was one, full of screaming as the petals pushed everywhere, moving from right to left.
Inside, was the (now) third in line Princess of Camelot.
"Callie? Callis??? CALLIE, ARE YOU OKAY!!" Vanessa banged her hands against the sides of the gigantic pink tulip, a miniature salon inside.
"NO I AM NOT OKAY, VEE! THERE IS A FAIRY ATTACKING ME WITH MAKEUP!!" Callis screeched running around the inside of the tulip.
"Well just sit down! Its not that bad!" Vanessa responded, nervously watching other girls as they glared at the scene she was producing with her best frie- sister? Vanessa still wasn't sure. Especially now that it meant she was the crown princess if Tristan ever died.
"EASY FOR YOU TO SAY. YOUR A BEAUTY KA-WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN" Callis shouted back, as she waved her hands over her face away from a fairy, she leaned back on a petal, the petal so close to falling..
Vanessa blushed. "Callis, just calm down.." she wasn't able to see the petal as it fell, right into the water. Callis tumbling into the pastel liquid, she let out a scream. Scream of happiness.
"Calis!!!" Vanessa's perfectly plucked blonde eyebrows raised in both surprise and hilarity. Callis broke out in laughter, her black curls tangling in the water. Vanessa broke out in laughter, before her friend reached up her arms, Vanessa grabbed her friends hand to pull her out, only to be pulled in. They both screamed out in laughter.
Vanessa looked up, her eyes meeting temporarily with the woman who days ago had run out of Camelot in tears. Her mothers green eyes looked away, Sophie couldn't bear to look at her mistake at that moment. Her accident. The story of how it came to be, washing over her..
