"Are you sure?"
Andrew glanced down towards Callis. She was a full eight inches shorter than him and he was six feet.
Callis nodded, her grip tightening around his hand.
He kept his gaze on her as the gates peeled back and the blue forest sparkled.
The trial had begun.

Chapter : villain starts with a V

Vanessa watched. Andrew had gotten miserable scores the whole last week, just to get in with Callis, two hearts intertwined, he would be up with her if he hadn't, entering the trial by tale and hour after the promised killers.
Callis sucked at being a princess and just the fact she was in the top ten surprised Vanessa.
Very much.
She cleared her head, Sophie's letters and words twisting in her mind, "he's your'se darling.." the crystal ball from her dream spinning in her head, showing her building a kingdom with a boy.
No. That has to be Callis' future.
But Callis doesn't want a boy.
She wants to live in a tree bungalow with a library and a hammock. And a dog.
But...
Jamie turned back to Vanessa.
"What's going on in your pretty head, my V for vabulous?"
"Vabulous?" Vanessa looked to her new boyfriend, she knew he was her boyfriend because... it just happened this morning.
Her prince. Evil prince.
"I can't think of any more words, V is hard." He responded with a smile. He would be entering soon enough.
Vanessa nodded and tied her cloak again, thoughts drifting as magic maps passed themselves out to students with the girls and boys icons running around, Andrew and Callis were still next to each other. Jamie looked up, squeezed Vanessa's hand and ran to the entrance to enter.
"Your so lucky" It was Liakada, an evil student whose name meant sunshine but whose skin looked as if she had never even seen the sun, yet a coconut shae butter scrub, she was a strange girl. Said to be the daughter of Anadil and Hester but they were girls..
Vanessa looked up.
"Why?"
"Your plan is so easy of course" she said, neon green eyes narrowing. Lia was a second year. This was the first year trial, Vanessa had no idea why she had come.
"My plan?" V hiccuped.
Lia cocked her head, "You really are a princess"
Vanessa' s eyebrows scrunched.
"I'm not here to braid your hair V. I'm here to tell you to go get him if that's what you want" she responded, eyes glancing, she was going in before Vanessa.
All she did was nod, unsure.
"It's just like your parents story" Liakada nodded at the map, gaze softening almost in a memory she never had.
"Mom never let me read it" Vanessa responded, jolting slightly as the next group of students were let in with a screech of fairies and stymphs. Liakada laughed, shaking her head.
"It's said the storian was writing a second story of Agatha and Sophie almost 9 months before you were born, you know" Liakada grinned with mischief. Vanessa was confused. Liakada rolled her creepy cat like eyes. "Princess" she hissed before walking off. Vanessa frowned and watched her walk off with worry.

(( So this is just a marker as to where what I wrote a month ago versus what I started writing more recently)

Vanessa sat on the balcony with the other good students entering. The blue forest was divided in three for first years, second years and third years. She glanced at the third year entering in last. Aka, a definite future queen if she had the top scores now.. Vanessa stood and walked over to the girl, her shiny auburn hair in a fashionable updo with a small tiara comb holding it up. The princess looked up from a spell book to face Vanessa. She immediately rolled her eyes before returning to her book.
"It's not nice to roll your eyes at-" Vee was interrupted by the pretty girl, she had chocolate eyes that twinkled in the early moonlight and freckles that seemed to have been blown on her face with a straw and paint on porcelain skin.
"I don't want to speak to anyone associated with the Camelot family, please.. Leave me alone and attend to your own night."
Vanessa was lost. What? "Could you tell me.. Why?"
The girl sighed, "I'm Ophelia, the infamous ex of your older brother? Tristan? You know him? He dumped me and I doubt you even know who I am" Vanessa blinked in shock, Tristan had always felt like a brother.. He technically was..
"Yea, sorry" Vanessa squeaked, a little confused. Tristan had come back to Camelot with a girl from Gavalon... What had happened with Ophelia?
"Don't date someone older than you, honey. They get scared when it comes to their fourth year, when their supposed to go out in the wild and practice their future. Become good characters for story books that wont ever exist. They break up with you late into the third year and find some other girl, swoop in, pick her up and carry her to Camelot. Leaving you, a lowly second year to cry and wish for the best." Ophelia said all of this as she read her book, lifting a page. Vanessa was shocked.
"Bu-But your the top of your class!" She replied. Ophelia made a "tsk-tsk" noise.
"I wasn't always. Towards the end of second year I was destined to be a mogrif. Then I understood that wasn't for me, what was for me was to take throne and create my own kingdom. I already have plans, its all girls! All of it! No boys allowed! And It'll be the happiest, nicest land of all.. Tristan will be jealous, standing in a puddle of ordinary, married to some blonde from Galavlon. Five kids of his own, weeping, wishing they were mine. No storybook for him, no fighting dragons with a team of women, that's all for me. He can file taxes and attend to little.. Blonde.. Cabbage kids" Ophelia smiled devilishly. Vanessa's jaw dropped.
Ophelia looked up at her with narrow eyes, "Don't tell anyone I told you any of this" She returned back to her spell book, stymphs wailed and the next three groups from each grade were let in.
