"How's your stay here in Busan? I know that you're new from here." Jimin starts the conversation and took another bite. Jungkook took a sip from his latte and gladly replied "It's pretty good. I came from Seoul and it's a bit different there. I like it though.". The barista smiled, it was nice seeing him warm up to him. He didn't realize that he was staring at the male for longer than the normal, he only snapped out of it when his cheeks start to color a faint pink "U-Uhm..?". Jimin shook his head and stuttered "Oh sorry! I just got lost in my thoughts.". "What are you thinking?" Jungkook quietly asked. Jimin chuckled "I'm just glad that you're liking it here." The other squinted as the sun shine brightly "It's very peaceful...". "I hope you don't mind me asking but how old are you Jungkook?" He set down his food and took a hold of his drink. "I'm 20. You?" and Jimin's smile broadens "Ah! I'm older than you. I'm 22. Call me Jimin-hyung.". Jungkook laughed "I guess. Jimin-hyung...". Something about the way that he said it made Jimin's day a bit brighter, it was the cutest way that someone has said his name.
"What do you do Jungkook?" The barista set down his empty drink. His side of the table was a bit messy compared to Jungkook's, his cup empty and the plastic from his wrap just crumpled lazily beside. Jungkook's cup was empty too but he set it on the edge of the table, on his left and his plastic was folded into a small rectangle, oddly this stood out to Jimin. "I'm a freelance photographer. I-I shoot videos too! But mostly just taking photos here and there..." The younger's voice trailed off. Jimin was honestly interested "Have you been going around the area to take photos?". The other's eyes lowered a bit, staring at the table "I-I haven't...I haven't exactly explored...around.". "Oh! Really?" "Yeah...". Jimin leaned in, setting his arms on the table "Why not?". He didn't know why he sounded playful but that made Jungkook more flustered. It took him a while to answer but he eventually did, a small smile lingering on his lips "I've been to...busy with...my old projects and...". The charming grey-haired played more "And?". Finally, Jungkook fully smiled and looked up at the older, shocking him on how his cheeks bulge up and is also playfully looking at him "I have no subjects." The older chuckled, both in satisfaction and to hide his surprise, he was happy that Jungkook leads on to him but at the same time astonished on how this is the first time he found a male this...
'Cute' he thought to himself and he felt himself flush.
He never has thoughts like that to a male, let alone a new friend. Maybe it was just sincere attraction.
"I-I uhm...I could take you to places that I know sometime." Jimin offered. Jungkook was pleased and thankful for it, no way he's letting his shyness taking that offer away from him "Yes! Please. Thanks, Jimin-hyung.". The barista smiled slowly stood up, the bunny-like male followed after him. He fished in his pockets his phone and gave the younger "Here, put your number in. Give me your phone.". The two exchanged numbers and slowly walked to the door. The older male's hair shines against the sun, attracting the other more to it. Jimin opened the door for them and smiled. Jungkook thought of his offer and friendliness, he's the nicest person he's ever met since he's been travelling alone.
He spoke in his mind 'Jimin-hyung really is kind."
"I'll see you later Jungkook," Jimin said, a distant connection could be felt. "Bye Jimin-hyung. Thank you so much." Jungkook flashed his million-dollar smile and both of them walked their separate ways.
It was dark. Jimin was in his casual clothes, feeling free and comfortable with his striped shirt and denim jeans. Something about today made him energetic, restless and thoughtful. He couldn't stay put in his house today and this was very unusual for him. Normally after work, he enjoys his alone time or probably spends his time with friends but today was different. It's late night, the scorching heat of the sun was gone and now replaced by the peaceful chilly air. He decided to take a walk, to get his mind off things. Soon after mindless moments, he starts to think about that bunny-like smile. He starts to picture how the younger male brought his straw on his pink-tinted lips and gently took a sip. He starts to remember the adorable way he blushed and the obvious signs of him being flustered. He starts to remember how the younger looked comfortable and happy around him. He starts to remember their small talk and the meal they shared together. Jungkook starts to fill his thoughts and that confused him. He doesn't want to overthink it - "He's just a new friend. He seems special" he whispered to no one. Although somehow, the brunette never left his mind for the rest of the night.
Jungkook smiled to himself. He twisted and turned but he never felt comfortable in one spot. His blanket started to tangle in his legs and soon his bed became a mess but he doesn't mind. Honestly, he didn't realize it. All he could think about are those alluring eyes, pouty red lips, grey hair, barista uniform and charming aura. He couldn't stop thinking about him, his heart skipped a bit. It surprised him and he couldn't place a finger to what exactly he's feeling but it's pleasant. The clueless male just concluded that he's just proud that he made a new friend.
