a/n: this is the longest chapter in this book (1985 words) because it's reaching to the end so I want you guys to enjoy it as much as I did writing it. Sorry for how emotional these chapters are lately but it will get better soon, I promise! :)
The thunder rumbled above him, breaking him out of his daze. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, a small cloud forming from the air. It was getting chilly but his feet seemed to be stuck in the spot and Jimin had to savour the view once more. He was on top of the building where he used to live, the last place he took Jungkook during their adventures. Today was empty for him, despite him not really caring much about his birthday, he would have appreciated some company.
Although he would admit, it was his fault that he was alone all day. He was aware of all the missed calls and unread messages blowing up from his phone, checking them all but didn't have the heart to answer any of them since the majority was from the dear photographer he knew he was head over heels for. Jealousy was never an issue for him but because of that sly, cocky model's words, it really got on his nerves. He knows that Jungkook's work was the most important thing but he wished deep down, he'd prefer him over it.
The drops of rain were quick, he mumbled a curse to himself and started running down to the second floor where he was protected from being drenched. His phone buzzed the same time it started and he checked it, surprising him more than he thought.
Help me, please. I need you.
He didn't care about his jealousy or his sadness once he read that text. A bolt of worry ran through his body and he sprinted to his car. Phone in hand and speed dial ringing in his ear, he drove to anywhere, just one thing in mind. Where are you?
"H-Hello?" Jungkook's shaky voice yelled through the phone, the loud rain pour deafening to the ears.
"Where are you?" His tone laced with panic, knowing how helpless he sounded on the other side of the line.
"I do-don't know...J-Jimin I don't know, I'm scared..." The younger sobs, the barista's heart swell in pain. He hates it when the other cries.
"Alright, stay in that area and find a place where it's dry. I'm coming." Dropping the call, he sped through stoplights in hopes of finding Jungkook. Good thing he knows the city like the back of his hand and stumbled across a shivering photographer, hugging his knees as he sits on the concrete, from head to toe soaking wet. Jimin parked beside him and rushed to the younger.
"Jungkook! I told you to go somewhere dry-"
"Hyung!" Before he could continue scolding him, Jungkook pulled him into a tight embrace, the desperation was evident in his actions. He cried in his chest, Jimin didn't bother doing anything else other than return the hug. They both missed this, just being together like this.
They never cared about the rain anymore, even if they were both feeling the cold in their bones. Each other's embrace was enough to have them survive the chill. Once Jungkook had stopped crying, Jimin took his hand and stood up, opening the door for him and following as he's safely inside. He drove off, the car filling with a thin silence that was terrifying to break. The older's silver hair became a mess but as a habit, he ran his hands through them and looked at the younger. His eyes were glazed from tears and looking intensely down. Curiosity was there of course but he didn't want to push him, so he waited.
A small sigh was let out and the younger towards him, "He kissed me Jimin-hyung...Taehyung kissed me." Another silence. It was unbearable now after telling him the news. He could see the barista's hands tighten around the wheel but didn't utter a word. He needed a response but clearly he won't get one until he explained the whole story. "He was giving a speech and told me to come up. He surprised me with this proposal to go to Spain with him for a year and called me his boyfriend in front of everyone" The younger couldn't hide his disgust by remembering everything "Everyone was loving it, he kissed me and thought I would just say yes like that but I pushed him away. Started leaving but he pulled me back and threatened me. I just slapped him, I've never slapped or hit anyone before like that. I hated it, it was so awful hyung. I told him I won't accept the offer and ran away. That's when I called you. I'm sorry and thank you for helping me..." His voice turned into a whisper as it began to shake again, unstoppable tears felt warm in his cheeks against the cold skin. Jimin sat there for a while, carried on driving. His eyes were set on the road and his face was free of emotion once again, not wanting the other to read him.
