The cafe looked so homely and warm during the day. The smell of coffee and breakfast lingered in the Jungkook's memories. Every smile, table and cup of coffee was remembered like a picture in the photographer's mind. All those exciting shots were like a mark that he'll always treasure.
As the moon glaze reflected on the window bounced off to the tables and the waxed floor. The coffee shop that Jungkook instantly fell in love with on his very first day in Busan was different during the night. He never really saw the place after hours, when the lights were all turned off and the furniture stable and still, lifeless.
Though it wasn't lifeless at all. In the eyes of the two people in the room, it looked magical with the blue tint of the moon glowing in the room. Everything about the room looked like a possibility. A new face of life, an alternate reality - which Jungkook and Jimin are the only ones there.
"Let me make you a Cappuccino, just like how you like it?" Jimin said in such a quiet voice, yet it echoed in the quiet place. The shadows followed the older male with such delicate movements. Jungkook sat at their usual table, it felt cold yet the familiarity warmed his heart. He watched as the other swiftly got a cup and turned on the coffee machine with ease like he has made coffee his whole life. He probably did, seeing that he's now such an excellent barista. Without his apron on, he just looked like a normal person that makes his own beverage - only with skilled hands and memorized every step.
The barista set down two cups on the counter, pouring down the hot foamy drink in them. The steam trailing up like smoke as Jimin walked to the table with them. He gave one cup to the younger and got one for himself. The older took a sip while looking out, his eyes sharp yet distant.
Jungkook, as a photographer, has a sudden urge to take a picture of him again. Jimin truly was beautiful, inside out. He just looked flawlessly ethereal every second of every day and that mesmerized Jungkook.
The older suddenly turned his head and smiled at him. "Like what you see?" he cockily snickered. This cockiness is different from Taehyung's, Taehyung knew he was attractive and he flaunted it, Jimin was just satisfied with what he has. Jungkook actually laughed out loud for the first time in so many days. The other was happy that he could finally hear that sweet melody.
"Maybe?" This surprised Jimin that Jungkook played along, smiling widely with a squinted-eye look on his face. It was his own turn to chuckle, setting down the beverage down and he leaned in towards Jungkook.
"How are you, exactly?" He whispered.
Jungkook reached down and took the long-awaited gulp from his drink. He licked his top lip after he finished and smiled at him, but Jimin's eyes were on his lips. He just ignored it and replied, like everything's normal "I'm fine. Always preoccupied with all the work and the locations. Taehyung-hyung relies on me to do most things because I know a lot in Busan, he said. I really don't.". The younger sighed and took another sip, not even bothering to wipe off the foam on top of his lips.
With his famous kind smile, Jimin patted the younger's head to comfort him "You can always ask me for help you know? I'm always free after work." Though as humble as Jungkook was, his bright eyes and toothy-grin couldn't hide his excitement with the offer. "Are you sure hyung? I don't want to bother you or anything." but Jimin chuckled again. His hyung's hand reached for him and his gentle thumb run over his top lip, wiping off the foam.
"Of course. I don't know much about photography but I can help you whenever you need anything. Even just slight support, hopefully, it's fine-"
"Yes, please! I really need the company now Jiminie." Jungkook exclaimed happily and with his two hands, he held onto Jimin's hand. Jimin took a couple of blinks before returning the smile "Anything for you Jungkookie~"
"You're literally an angel. Thank you" The brunette said. The light shifted as time goes on, reflecting perfectly to Jimin's hair. He was glowing, not only because of the moonlight. He was such a light person to be with and during dark times, Jimin shone in Jungkook's eyes.
That goes for Jimin as well. He finally had the chance to look at Jungkook completely, he was beautiful to the barista as well. Such innocence looked so pretty to him, it was so alluring in Jungkook's own way.
Jimin was so drawn to the other that he couldn't help himself and leaned in further. With a feathery touch, their lips attached to each other. It wasn't as electric as the cliche movie say, it was soft and heart-warming. Jimin's heart started to beat faster while Jungkook's stopped. In shock, he broke the kiss for a second - looking into the barista's eyes for security. But something in his hyung's eyes glimmered and he leaned in himself. Melting into the kiss, the touch lingered in their skin and so did it linger in their hearts as this was the beginning of what they truly feel.
The kiss was comforting and, it just felt right. In the moonlight's beauty, there they were - drowning in the growing love that each other felt. For it was beautiful and as magical as the night was.
