Jimin couldn't do anything. His dilating eyes fixated on Jungkook, feeling as free and light as the other. The song felt like a mellow ribbon and just pulling his restricting heartstrings, keeping him as close as possible to the younger. It was beautifully angelic, Jungkook was angelic. Everything about him was angelic to the hypnotized barista.
The image started to focus, the city lights blurring out in the background. They turned into a divine mixture of multiple hues, shining like artificial stars. The wind starts to blow harder, sweeping those brunette strands off the younger's forehead. His bunny-like smile beamed and he started giggling playfully as he continued the song. His arms remain to his side, the T-shade getting bigger as he stood up straighter, meeting the breeze's force.
There and then, the barista finally understood. He finally saw how Jungkook looks at the world, with such curiosity and wonder. Jimin's senses heightened, his fingertips tingled with the urge of just wanting to pull Jungkook and hugging him as tight as possible. He bit down his lip and prevented himself from laughing with Jungkook's giggles. He felt like that was the most beautiful moment in his life.
And even when he thought it couldn't get better, Jungkook's eyes shot open and he quickly jumped to Jimin. Wrapping his arms around the older and his legs around his small waist, Jungkook's laughter filled up the enclosed air around Jimin. His breath stopped as everything halted as well, the timely picture was slowed as their lips touched. By instinct, their eyes both closed as their lips move perfectly with each other but how Jimin saw Jungkook stuck to his mind. Every second of loving darkness, all Jimin could see was Jungkook singing and looking as carefree as he could be. That was his perfect shot, his own beautiful image taken by the lenses of his dark brown eyes - he knew that he'll never ever forget that image. It's his own little treasure.

"Are you tired?" Jungkook whispers as he peers slightly to the older. The grey-haired male shifted his weight more to the photographer, his head on his shoulder as his eyelids struggle to keep open "Just a little bit.". The sun peeked from the horizon as they sit on the edge of the building. Jimin brought out a spare blanket from his trunk and they've been snuggled up since they arrived. Since the barista has work, later on, they just decided to wait until the sun comes up before going back.
Struggling to wake up, Jungkook made an effort to make conversation "Why did you take me here hyung?". Jimin yawned and rubbed his eyes, leaning closer to the younger's neck, "I used to live here." That caught Jungkook's attention and turned his body way too quick towards Jimin. The older male's head falls to the brunette's lap with a thud, groaning as he falls there. That didn't wake him up much though. "Calm down Kook." Jimin huffed as he fixed himself on Jungkook's lap, the position growingly unsafe as the building was still a bit high. It can't be helped though, but Jungkook's tight grip on Jimin's figure was alarming, for both of them really.
Jimin sighed and opened an eye, looking up at the younger one and flashed him a reassuring smile, "It's okay Kookie, I've been here a lot when I was young. I'll be fine." That still didn't lessen the hold but Jimin just shrugged it off and let it stay. "So yeah, this was where I used to live. Quite nostalgic for me to come here after a while." The barista chuckled to himself and covered his eyes with his arm, resting a bit.
Jungkook smiled to himself and start playing with the other's hair, looking around to take in how a few abandoned houses and the quiet neighbourhood felt as the early morning rise awakens the city. As the other areas must be waking up, this place remained quiet, still and steady. It was nice, pleasant to the heart. His eyes trailed down on the cobbled steps of the front porches, the shadows of the tree leaves dances on the cement. This area felt like a secret, a hidden getaway. An alternate reality filled with families and childhood. Jungkook couldn't bring himself to ask where did everyone go, nor was he curious to why. Just to know that this was where Jimin used to live was enough for him.
--------------------------------------
Jimin parked his car outside his house after dropping Jungkook off at his own residence. He turned off the engine, feeling the silence of his own space. The car was comfortable yet foreign to him, he barely uses it after all. Running his hands through his silver locks, he can feel his shoulders tightening and drowsiness building up. He looked around the closed space and leaned forward to open to the glove compartment, inside were a few glasses and little receipts. Digging deeper, he came across a small photo.
It was wallet-sized, a small picture at risk of getting lost. The barista laid across the driver seat and passenger seat despite it being uncomfortable to his back. He stared nostalgically at the photo and a tiny smile played on his plump lips. Gazing upon the little boy holding on to a toy bunny, Jimin was ogling his younger self. The house in the background made him smile as he once saw it again with Jungkook. The neighbourhood meaning a lot to him and for him to bring Jungkook was quite a shocker, even for him.
Before his parents moved to a different area, he remembered what his mother said. The delicate motherly voice of his mom echoed in his memories, laughing jokingly to himself as he vividly reminisces it.
'Take the person that you love here. You love this home, take your own home to the place that you love.'
The grey-haired sit up and shook his head, opening the car door and moving out. He slid the photo to his back pocket and sighed. It was gratifying to come back there but he questions himself why did he take Jungkook there. Why does he take Jungkook to these places? He starts questioning his own actions, his own effort to just make the other smile.
He asked himself as he walked incredibly slow back inside, taking every step with a heavy thought and a beating heart.
"Am I in love with Jungkook?"
