a/n: Guess what? Another update the day after the last one? *gasps!* I'm in a spoiling mood today so to reward my lovely readers, I give you another update :) Thank you all so much for the love and support you've been giving me. Your comments make me laugh and I'm forever grateful. Hope you all enjoy!

"Everything's going to be okay." Taehyung showed him a small grin, buttoning his cuffs before he placed a hand on the disheartened photographer's. The touch didn't calm Jungkook, only worried him even more. He was too focused on trying to notice any vibrations or sounds from his phone in his pocket, not that that would be impossible considering how tight the suit pants the company told him to wear. He looked up at the model who was smiling at him reassuringly, probably thinking that he was nervous for the event. The reason of his fidgeting was far from the party however, instead it was the fact that it is 7:46 pm and still not a single call or text from Jimin. He tried everything and he was left with the unanswered question of "Where is he?". That pained him more and more as time goes by.

They were on the way to the location of the party. Taehyung's assistant listed things that matter, yet he couldn't seem to hear them. Jungkook's eyes glistened once again in a daze and the golden-haired boy noticed it once again, sighing as he lifted his hand up to stop the assistant from talking. "I think we get it now, thank you." His stern voice echoed in the back of the limousine, making his assistant gulp in nervousness and bow, before shifting further away and soothe down her pencil skirt.

The city lights under the night's darkness painted his elegant white suit with multiple colours, making him shine in his seat. Taehyung never fails to shine in any place and time. His mismatched gold earrings complimented his other gold accessories, creating an image of dominance and being head of this event. After all, it was his season's shoot that is being presented tonight, he truly was a star.

But, he didn't feel like one.

Jungkook's distracted gaze made him slightly upset. It was Jungkook's work and this was a special night for him but he didn't share the excitement Taehyung expected him to feel. His grey-contacted eyes switched from his own hand to the photographer himself. Even in dullness, he still shined like he did, only differently. He wasn't as vibrant or glamorous with his dark suit and white silk dress shirt. His accessories contrasted the model with silver rings and a simple chain belt around his pants. He just had his own radiance that he couldn't explain, but only admired. He must admit, his assistant did very well in styling him, from the hairstyle to the choice of shoes, Jungkook did look professional and stunning.

Stunning, a word he never used to describe anyone but himself. That surprised him, along with other moments with Jungkook that he never thought would affect him. The brunette made the world feel like it's moving in slow motion around the older. At first, it scared him, knowing this was unlike his usual flirting moments, so he hid it with more flirting and possibly the feeling might fade. However, jealousy and care mixed in the situation, leaving him completely clueless to what he's supposed to do expect just be around the younger. To give him the very best he could possibly offer.

"Even if it's not with me," Taehyung told himself but didn't have the power to say it out loud.

Jungkook had to say something, it's not like he couldn't trust Taehyung about personal things of the heart especially after that day with his family, so he spoke up "It's Jimin's birthday today hyung." "Oh? I haven't seen him around, can you tell him I said Happy Birthday as well?" The older said, trying to sound chipper. The photographer's stare turned outside, the blinding city lights dulled in his eyes as he just mindlessly watch everything pass "I wish I could, but Jimin hasn't talked to me today, been almost a week actually. I wanted to ask what's wrong but maybe I'm the problem so I didn't bother him anymore..." A slight break in his voice alarmed Taehyung, leaving him with a guilty lump on his throat.

Little did Jungkook know that Taehyung knew about Jimin's birthday, and several other information with a bit of a background check and online stalk. He purposely picked out this date to organize this event to get Jungkook to himself for as much as possible and, of course, make the barista jealous, however, he didn't realize how much damage it'll put on the younger. He didn't expect how much it will affect the two. The old Taehyung would call this overdramatic, but after the confrontation with Jimin the other night, he put himself in the barista's place on the way back and thought about how much it would hurt him too if someone you love would disregard something important like that. "Wow, I'm growing a conscience aren't I?" He thought, silently laughing pathetically to himself for growing so soft. The guilt wasn't enough though to tell the other what he did, so he just grasped the other's hand tighter and reassured him "I'm sure he had other reasons, but tonight, I want you to focus on this party. This will be good for your future."

Jungkook didn't want to disappoint the model, after all the efforts of organising tonight - it would be rude to bring the mood down. "You're right hyung, I'll do my best." He managed to pull off a decent smile before clearing his mind to focus on what's ahead.

The rest of the car ride was silent, only because the destination was close. Once they arrived, the paparazzi swarmed the car and bright flashes covered every window. Taehyung's assistant went out first and a few of his bodyguards, pushing aside some reporters for space. Taehyung exited out with such glamour, a sly smirk and already fixing up his posture and effortlessly posing for the cameras. After a few seconds, he turned back and held his hand out to the overwhelmed photographer.

Cameras were his life but Jungkook is not used to being on the other side of the lenses. Every snap made him anxious and instinctively, he grabbed the older's hand tightly and tried to look as effortless as the model as he goes out. Though, he couldn't handle all eyes on him as deafening yells of "Mr. Kim Taehyung! Over here!", "Turn here, Taehyung!" "Who's that with you Mr. Kim!", "Jeon Jungkook! Smile for the cameras!" banged his eardrums. All he wanted to do was cover his ears and run. It seemed like the model knew his thoughts as he pulled them to a speed walk towards the entrance, not even loosening his grip on the scared brunette. Once they entered the building, guards immediately shut the front doors and lead them to the back, away from all the overwhelming press.

As if being stuck underwater, Jungkook let out the biggest exhale and leaned against the elevator walls. Taehyung joined his side and held him, 'Hey you alright?' the other just nodded and straightened up "Yeah, that was just scary for me." "I saw, it's okay though. You'll get used to it." "Why...?" "You're going to be an A-list photographer after tonight."

Jungkook couldn't even respond as the elevator doors open and every person in the room looked at them, big proud smiles and the clapping began. The atmosphere was definitely professional but it didn't make Jungkook nervous like how he felt earlier. It was more...hopeful, like something he can see himself go through again and again. Multiple people that he both recognize and was unfamiliar of shook his hand, congratulating him for his work. As he stepped further into the event hall, he could see a powerpoint of Taehyung's season line and his trademark on the pictures. Everyone equally gave them both respect, even Taehyung didn't mind the divided attention. The two both made their way up to the stage and bowed to everyone, it was the moment that Jungkook could really absorb what he has in front of him.

A future.
