(Tell me guys if the chapters are getting too slow-paced for you. I could progress the story faster but it'll be up to you guys. This chapter pretty much prolonged one scene and they haven't even gone out yet. I'm sorry but I felt like I forced this out. I'll publish another chapter soon. Mianhe~)
Jungkook opened the glass door, the familiar doorbell rang and it welcomed him as always. He went to his usual seat, a sense of friendliness permeated the spot. It was in the corner, secluded and blending in with the other tables, but for Jungkook, it's special. He set down his black backpack, a few snacks, two water bottles and his camera in it. He smiled warmly as happiness starts to bubble up inside him, eager to go on his day. He looked at the counter as instinct, wanting to see his barista friend. He wasn't supposed to expecting him but the brunette can't help but be surprised, not because that Jimin wasn't there but by the new face in the cafe.
The new person was handsome, beyond that actually. His features are delightful and his blonde hair angelically styled. He stood out in the cafe but also complemented nicely in the aesthetics of Heavenly Cream. Many customers seem to be in trance by his beauty, unable to look away. A group of customers are stumbling and foolishly ogling at him and squealed once they go back to their table. Jungkook's mouth gaped open when the attractive man rolled up his uniform sleeves to his elbows and expertly made their coffees and served their food. He was even faster than Jimin, operating in and out of the kitchen, serving customers. Everybody's attention was on the very handsome barista.
The doorbell rang again, it was a sweet notice. It didn't affect anyone else, since all eyes were still on the new person, all except Jungkook's. His glimmering eyes snapped to the newcomer, expecting a customer, but his rose lips curved into a small smile. The male must admit, Jimin looked so different without his barista uniform on. Unlike his usual bowl cut, his hair was clearly swept back multiple times, creating luscious waves of silver. He was wearing a pastel yellow shirt, complementing his light sun-kissed skin tone. The brunette observes as the other biceps flexed when he ran his hand through his hair once again, and subconsciously sucked in a breath. His light denim jeans fitted him nicely, the ripped and distressed parts showed off his toned legs that Jungkook has never seen before due to his loose work pants.
Jimin's striking eyes sets on the younger. Pouty lips tinted in pink parted, a smirk forming. Each step he takes, it matched with the brunette's heartbeat. Jungkook's hands subconsciously balling into fists as he buried them between his legs. "Did you plan to match with me today?" The older teased, a light laugh coming out of him. Eyes widening, the younger looked down himself and laughed along with the other, they were wearing the same outfit.
'He definitely looks a lot better than me' Jungkook thought, honesty playing in his mind. The thought got caught off though as Jimin leaned and ruffled his hair, saying "You look really cute in yellow." A strawberry hue rose up to the brunette's cheeks, not really knowing what to say or do. He wasn't exactly used to compliments but it felt nice coming out of Jimin, so his bunny-like smile couldn't resist from appearing.
Jimin's day was already bright. He felt amazing when he woke up this morning. He also took a refreshing shower and put on light clothes, soft and feathery on his skin. He walked to the cafe with a smile, the sun was out, it wasn't hot and he could breathe easily. The day was already great, but the smile that pooped on Jungkook's face made his heart pound with joy. Anything that Jungkook does made him just want to take him in his arms and never let go - the urging feeling towards the other was there, Jimin just doesn't know it yet.
The older took Jungkook's bag from him. "I-I..you don't have to do that Jimin-hyung!" Jungkook said, flustered over the kind action. Giving that million dollar smile of his, Jimin said "No, it's okay. We should probably head out anyway." and the younger happily agreed.
As they were about to head out, a loud call came from the barista from the counter "Yah! Jimin-ah!". Both of them turned around and a smug smirk formed on Jimin's face "I thought you won't even notice us while you were drowning in your admirers Jin-hyung.". This made Jin and Jimin laugh, a sense of close friendship was obvious between the two.
'The new barista is Jin-hyung...I see.' Jungkook thought to himself as he watched the two made small talk. He admired how close they were and how it seems like no time has passed between them since they last saw each other.
A brown paper bag and two drinks in hand, Jimin handed them to Jungkook as he said goodbye to the older. "Come back here or to my place later. We have to talk, seriously." Jin guided them to the front door and winked. The grey-haired male nodded with a cheerful chuckle and start to exit. "Have fun!" The blonde said, subtly waving at both of them. When Jungkook and Jin made eye contact, the barista had this really witty smirk that Jungkook couldn't place a finger on so he ignored it and smiled shyly back.
"So where are we going?" Jungkook asked excitedly as they walked side by side outside of the cafe, the fresh morning air surrounded them. "Oh, you'll see" Jimin replied, his charming smirk playing on his lips, hoping that the other will enjoy where they're going.
