"Good Morning Jungkook."
The deep voice greeted him as he descended from his front porch to his gate. It was a surprise to hear the sound early in the morning. Jungkook felt the corner of his lips twitch and he let them move upward. The feeling of butterflies starts to build up in the pit of his stomach and the sight in front of him isn't really helping.
Basking in his beauty, Taehyung didn't even need sunlight to glow. His skin cleared, perfectly between pale and tanned, and his hair naturally styled. The bouncy locks covered the other's forehead, giving him a gentle friendly look. Although, the natural powerful feeling around him never faltered as his gaze as fierce as ever even with the bright smile on his face.
"Morning hyung," The younger mumbled and looked down to his black shoes. A wavy grin plastered on his face as he peered up at his new boss. It seems like the older male read his mind and patted his back brotherly "Don't think of me as a boss. Just think of it as a friend helping a friend." he assured Jungkook and opened the passenger seat to him. The younger simply nodded and placed his equipment in, only a few since it's only planning day.
The model jumped in the driver's seat and closed the door. The fresh smell of leather and sophistication filled the photographer's senses, somehow making him light-headed. Taehyung started driving ahead and told him that they'll be meeting his assistant that just came from the airport now. The car neared Heavenly Cream and his stare followed along the establishment. When the model passed it completely, Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows and asked: "Aren't we going to Heavenly Cream?".
Taehyung said, a cheerful tinge laced his voice "No, we're going to another cafe in the city my assistant chose. She said that it's better to meet there because it's near many spots." and speed up a bit. Jungkook politely smiled and checked his phone for the time. Fighting back a sigh, he thought that it was a shame that he couldn't even say hi to Jimin today - maybe later after work.
They arrived at the cafe. Since Heavenly Cream is near the outskirts of Busan, the freshness of the peaceful place Jungkook calls his new home has been replaced with the more modern interior. His breath hitched up his throat as he takes in a new atmosphere surrounding him. The energy of this new morning coffee shop buzzed in the air, the busy feeling ringing in his senses. Although he has been to multiple places before, Jungkook has always been quick in adapting to his environment, so the city was a bit of a surprise for him.
He subconsciously followed his companion, carefully observing in his own quiet self the eyes that trailed along the powerful man in front of him. Taehyung looked back and grabbed his arm firmly, the action causing him to slightly flush. The older took the gesture quite professionally as he hooked his arm to the other, linking them as he strides to the table where his assistant is sitting.
The brunette stared at the frantic looking assistant of the famous Mr Kim, nothing more to expect than the worried and tired look of hers. She's a woman that's probably in their age, the bags under her eyes due to lack of sleep makes her look like she aged quicker than she intends to. She has three coffees with unreadable writing on them, the photographer assumed that it was her name scribbled on the cups. Her jet black hair tied up in a messy bun, her glasses reflecting the light gave her the "barely-organized" look. The younger male's heartstrings tugged as the assistant hectically stood up, gave a wary smile to them and accidentally knocked her suitcase down the ground.
"G-Good morning sir-!" She blurted out quite awkwardly and greeted him with a 90-degree angle bow.
Taehyung unlinked his arm and gave her an icy glare, the atmosphere instantly changing. A tiny shiver brushed on Jungkook's spine by the sudden change of his hyung. The boss gave her a slight nod in return before sitting down, patting the steel chair beside him for Jungkook to sit on. Slowly sitting down, the photographer kept his fingers locked to each other. The model took the two untouched cups, smelling one of them and taking it while he gave the other one to Jungkook. The other male muttered a "Thank you" and took a sip.
Taehyung gave him a sideways glance "You got a Cappuccino last time, told her to get one for you."
The brunette smiled, not as genuine as he normally does, he just gave a civil smile that is appropriate to show in front of work. The coffee was too bitter and the foam is too thick, he licked his lips and thought of his favourite morning cup. He missed the taste of home and sweetness, the balance of peace and excitement that he got used to. He missed the familiar smell of welcome when he drinks his coffee and the quiet, but happy murmurs of the customers in Heavenly Cream. He didn't mean to be rude but...
'Heavenly Cream really does have the best coffee.' He thought to himself, not wanting to offend the efforts of the already overworked assistant.
Half of the male's mind was working with the conversation of the table, answering and gesturing neutral things, giving not much of a strong opinion on the topic. The other half wonders somewhere else, yet he can't seem to point out where it's heading.
"...So the plan of coming here in Busan and hiring Jungkook was to get some fresh new ideas. I want the next magazine and billboard to have a soft concept, something rural and peaceful..." Taehyung dictated and the assistant hurriedly types them all out. Jungkook spaced out as his eye bore into her coffee, the smoke from the top slowly fading away as it is left untouched, the beverage slowly getting cold.
Giving out a quiet sigh, he completely went to his headspace. He glanced at the model and fully took him in without shame. The photographer's eyes were his cameras when he doesn't have a physical one with him. He snapped at every angle possible, watching the golden streaks on his neck flow elegantly, his features sharp and too good to be true, his mouth moving quickly as words escape his pretty lips.
Being the quiet one always has its advantages, Jungkook overthinks and with observation, makes processed conclusions. Taehyung is definitely the kind of guy that can seduce you with his looks; the fierce eyes, expensive clothes and magnetic sex appeal. He's the person that will get what he wants when he wants and how he felt like it. However, with or without formalities, he has this authority that makes people see him as intimidating. The way his hands gestures the things he says, the way his voice becomes stern and strong, the way his eyes focus on the speaker as if he was glaring you down. He can make anyone listen as he begins to speak. Jungkook thought at that moment, maybe Taehyung was too powerful for his own good. But with the quick turn to him and a small smirk on his face, the young photographer's mind just blanked out, ending all his thought process. He can't help but nervously gulp those thoughts down and faked another smile.
