Okay this is the only way I think I can give you advice. Fill in the blank with the words below.

I think if you ____ you can write about sex

-feel comfortable
-are old enough
-know what love really is

To sum it all up, I don't think you should give your readers false images. They should have their own opinions and how they picture it with their partners.

If you do decide to write about it, give your readers warnings and rate your story mature. Or just say I'll put ⚠️ when it gets mature. You must be older than sixteen to read it.

Imagine a thirteen (ten) year old reading that and getting addicted to it.
(It's just an example)

So my personal opinion is don't do it.

But if you do write about it, please don't rush it. Give the characters time and don't write about it in every chapter. Then somebody else told me how quickly the girl just agrees to do it with the boy, even if she isn't ready.

Just remember that it is a really emotional and intimate thing and you can't just not make it special.

You don't have to describe it, you can just say we made love. End. You don't have to go into details. Again, don't have to write about it. (Unless you're writing a smut and you're story is labelled mature and you have all your heads up and whatever, that's different)

But in the end, this the 21st century, almost every high school kid has slept with another person. Yes, it is realistic, but you shouldn't give your readers the idea that it is right.
