Okay, so I've never been on a date like the ones they always go to on movies.
I'm talking about the romantic one where he takes you out for dinner, you're all dressed up. That kind of thing.
I've been to the movies with guys, also went ice-skating, trampoline park, hiking, camping and tons more. So to get to my point, the dates they describe in books never happened to me.
Not even bowling... well kinda. It wasn't a date.
Either they make it too mushy like a picnic or they make it too boring? All of the dates are the same.
You don't have to be entirely original, or old fashioned, but try to make it a little unpredictable. I mean when you read it and you know that they are going to some nearby stream and then he happens to have some awesome hidden cooking talent and packed you a picnic. Come on?
So keep it simple, but special.
If I were the girl and I had to dress up all fancy, I would be so disappointed. I mean, first I have to look for something to wear and then I'd have to get all dressed up. No thank you. I'm way too lazy for that.
