Okay, I'm not saying that I don't care about the people who has cancer, I'm just saying that almost every book out there the dying boy/girl has cancer.
And most of the time it would be leukemia.
I think the reason they choose this sickness is because they think that it's terminal.
I know exactly what life is like having cancer, there is nothing you can teach me about it.
And the great news is, that there is a cure found in America. I watched Carte Blanche (it's a South African news show) on a Sunday. You can google it if you want to be sure about the facts, because I'm not going to type a whole page about what they said.
Okay, but that's not my point.
The problem is that you can't let them fall in love with one another and then boom the one has cancer and dies.
Cancer is not your friend. You can't take it lightly and it is the enemy. The therapy is fucking awful. Losing hair is like the least of your problems when you get chemo. And there is different types of chemotherapy, some you don't loose your hair.
There is too many books where the main character has cancer.
If you want her/him to be sick, find another sickness. Please.
You don't know what life with cancer is like, yes, you can google what's it's like... but you won't truly know.
