Lindsey glanced over at Stevie as she suddenly groaned.
"Angel? Are you okay?" he asked, worried.
Stevie nodded.
"Could you let me rest for a moment and take an aspirin though? My hip is acting up a little." She said.
"Sure, babe." Lindsey said, as Mick and John nodded.
They walked to a nearby bench and sat down. As Stevie rifled through her tote bag for her aspirin, Lindsey sat beside her and rubbed her back while Mick and John went to a nearby vendor to get her something to drink.
As Stevie pulled the aspirin bottle out and opened it. Lindsey looked up and noticed a person dressed as Yogi Bear standing nearby. He smiled at the person and looked over at Mick and John as they walked back holding a cup of lemonade for Stevie.
"Thank you." Stevie said gratefully as she took the cup.
Lindsey resumed rubbing her back as Stevie tossed the aspirin into her mouth and took a huge gulp of lemonade.
"You gonna be okay, Steves?" he asked.
Stevie nodded as she swallowed the pills and lemonade.
"Yeah, I just wanted to rest a moment. I'm not gonna stop going on rides, so don't worry." She said.
Lindsey nodded and smiled. As he continued to rub Stevie's back, he suddenly felt someone hit his shoulder. He looked up and saw Mick looking down at him.
"What?" he asked.
Mick said nothing; instead he looked up and over Lindsey's head. Lindsey looked in the direction he was looking at and noticed the costumed performer had not moved since he smiled at him. Lindsey shifted uneasily as he noticed him standing and staring in their directions.
"Okay, why is Yogi Bear staring at us?" Lindsey muttered.
He looked at the performer and waved at him. He frowned as the person did nothing.
"What's wrong with you buddy?" Lindsey muttered. "You die from being in that hot costume all day?"
His eyes widened as the Yogi Bear started to move towards them.
"Great, he heard you." Mick muttered.
"Oh, surely not. I didn't say it that loud." Lindsey muttered back.
He cleared his throat and stared up at the performer as he stopped right in front of him.
"Yeah?" Lindsey said.
"You're Fleetwood Mac!" the performer said, pointing to him.
Lindsey shut his eyes for a moment.
*Wonderful,* he thought to himself *we've finally been spotted.*
He opened his eyes and faked a smile.
"Yeah, we get that all the time." He said, trying to keep his voice low.
The performer chuckled.
"I know it's you. I'm enough of a fan that I can recognize the real thing when I see it." He said.
Lindsey sighed inwardly and kept the smile on his face.
"Hey, can't blame a guy for trying." He said.
"Yeah, I'm sure you guys don't like to be mobbed all the time." The performer said, nodding.
*Oh, no, we love mobs. It's great exercise running from them.* Lindsey thought.
"Yeah..." he answered out loud.
The performer shifted uneasily.
"Well, um...anyway, I just wanted to know if I could have your autographs?" he asked, sheepishly. "That's all I want seriously and I won't bother you again."
Everyone looked at each other and nodded.
"Thank you." The performer said, as Stevie fiddled around in her tote and brought out her journal and a pen. She cautiously opened the journal to the back taking care not to let the man see her writing. Finding a blank page, she tore it out and set the journal back in the bag as Lindsey stared at her with amazement. Stevie quickly wrote out a little note and signed her name. She passed everything to Lindsey and he did the same and then Mick and then finally John.
"Thank you so much." The performer said, nodding, as John handed him the paper and gave the pen back to Stevie. "You guys are awesome!"
Everyone nodded and smiled and waved at the man as he waved back. They watched him hurry off before Lindsey turned to Stevie.
"You brought your journal here?" he asked incredulously
"Yeah, so?" Stevie said, shrugging her shoulders.
"To a theme park?" Lindsey said, with an amused grin.
"Yes, to a theme park. What's your point?" Stevie replied.
"My point is why did you bring it? What were you gonna do, sit on the rides and compose poems about them while you were in the moment?" Lindsey asked, as Mick and John snickered.
"No, Lindsey, I didn't know how many rides I was gonna be on so I thought I would write while I wasn't on anything." Stevie said.
"Which brings me to my other query," Lindsey said. "You, Stevie Nicks, would actually sit in public around other people and write super secret things in your journal."
"I would be careful about it." Stevie said, indignantly
"You would?" Lindsey said, grinning. "Stevie, you get so lost in your thoughts, a tornado could come thorough the park and blow it off the map and you'd never notice."
Stevie eyed him as everyone giggled.
"Well, it's the truth, Stevie." Lindsey said. "I know how you are when you get going on your journal. Jesus Christ, himself, couldn't tear you away from it. If he walked up to you and tried to tell you Armageddon had occurred, you'd say "I'm writing in my journal, DO YOU MIND?" "
"Hardy har har." Stevie said, rolling her eyes as everyone giggled. "Anyway, why don't we get off the subject of my journal and just get going before we get mobbed by Scooby Doo or Captain Caveman."
"Fine by me." Lindsey said, slapping his knees and getting up.
Stevie got up and threw her empty cup into the trash can beside the bench. She then grabbed the bags with one hand and Lindsey's hand with the other and they headed out again towards the water park.
