Mick ran to help Lindsey as he helped Stevie walk out the exit.
"Are you alright, Stevie? We heard you screaming in there." Mick said, putting his arm around her back and helping Lindsey support her.
"I think so. I just wanna sit down on something that won't throw me back against the back of the seat." Stevie said, grimacing.
"Would you like lemonade, Stevie?" John asked, as they sat her down on the bench.
"Yeah, that sounds good. Let me get my purse." Stevie said, as she grabbed her tote bag.
Mick held up his hand.
"I'll get it. You just sit." He said.
"Thank you." Stevie said, smiling gratefully.
"You're welcome. I'll be right back." Mick said, patting her shoulder.
"I'll be back too. I'm gonna use the restrooms." John added.
"You going too, Lindsey?" Stevie asked, looking up at him.
"Nope, staying right here so you won't have to deal with crazed stalkers." Lindsey said, sitting down beside her.
"Baby, I'm so sorry..." Lindsey said, putting his arm around her shoulder and rubbing it.
"Lindsey, I know you are. You don't have to keep apologizing. I know you didn't know what that ride did. It's cool." Stevie said, looking at him.
Lindsey shook his head.
"I wanna ring that chiropractor's neck for messing up your hip like that. I still think you oughta sue him."
"Lindsey, you don't know if he intentionally meant to hurt me. Sometimes when you hit menopause, your bones become more brittle and it's easier to get hurt. It might have happened anyway even if he hadn't done anything to me."
Lindsey sighed.
"I just don't want it to be a permanent thing. I want you to be able to be dancing into your 90's, not crippled in a wheelchair." He said.
"Walker..."
"Hmmm?"
"Walker...I told All Access I would be on a walker because I'd be swinging it at you."
Lindsey laughed.
"Oh yeah...My bad."
He kissed her cheek.
"So I guess I better stay in shape then so I'll be able to dodge the walker when you do swing it at me." He said.
"Where's the fun in that though?" Stevie said, giggling. "I want to hit you with it so I won't waste my energy going up and down the hallways just swinging it in all directions trying to get you."
"Mmmmm, How about if you forget trying to bean me with the walker and instead waste your energy on other more...carnal pleasures."
"Why, Lindsey, you dirty old man." Stevie murmured.
"Mmmmm, you know it!" Lindsey replied as he began to kiss her lips.
"So, I guess I'm supposed to stand here and hold the lemonade until you're finished?"
They looked over and saw Mick standing beside them and holding the plastic cup out at arm's length.
"Would you be so kind as to do that for her?" Lindsey asked, snickering.
"No, I'd rather drink it myself because I know once you get going, it'll last all day."
Stevie took the cup from him and smiled gratefully.
