Part of the Family - A Roadtrip Fanfic

Part 1

I had butterflies in my stomach , I felt sick ... it had been years since I saw them. What if they don't like me now?

I put on my jumper and grabbed the car keys before I walked to the car and set off. The Airport was almost an hour away and it was already 12 ... they were landing at 1 and I couldn't be late.
I decided to take my mums car, as it was faster than my Range Rover, and I don't think she'll miss it for a couple of hours , I hope anyway.

I turned the volume up and blasted my favourite music and soon enough I got to the airport. It was 1 O'clock.

My phone rang ... it was him

"Hello?" I asked

"Hey" he answered

"Everything okay?" I asked

"Yeah I just thought I'd ring to let you know we've landed" he replied

"Oh okay" I said slightly relieved "I'm in the main Carpark near the bus stop"

"Okay perfect see you soon" he said before hanging up.

This was it! I haven't seen him in at least two years, ever since him and his girlfriend decided to go and live with her parents in Cali. I've missed him so much!

Before long I saw his familiar face emerging from the revolving doors...

"Over here" I shouted waving

They clocked me and began to walk my way.

"I've missed you so much" he said picking me up

"I've missed you more bro" I said smiling "Elliot has missed you loads"

"Hey Bella" Loren said hugging me "it's been too long"

"It has" I said embracing the hug

"Harvey and I were worried our flight would be delayed because of all the snow here" she said

"Back in LA they told us we might have to wait another couple of hours whilst they clear the snow here" Harv said

"Oh really?" I asked "how come you flew from LA?"

"My Mom dropped us off as she has some meeting near the airport" Loren said

"Ah fair enough" I said

"I'm freezing" Harvey interrupted "can we go?"

"Fine" I said rolling my eyes "I'm sure mum is waiting at the door to see you both"

And with that we all got in the car and headed back home.

The drive seemed to go by quickly and soon we were home again.

I leant out the car window to put the gate pin in and saw the front door open.
Mum and Elliot ran out to greet us in the drive way.

"My baby!" Mum shouted hugging Harvey "how was the flight?" She asked

"It was good thanks mum" Harvey said breaking free from her grasp

"Oh Loren hello darling how are you?" Mum asked pushing Harv to one side and hugging her.

Elliot helped me bring in the bags and take them to Harvey's room whilst him and Loren had a catch up with mum.
It was so nice to have Harvey home !
