"Class, guess what we're doing today? POP QUIZ."

God I hate my life.

I groan in my seat and Natsume chuckles.

"Want to look over my notes?"

"There's no point. I've already failed." I tug on my hair and cry. "This always happens but I never study!! I never learn!"

I can see Hotaru mouth the words, 'idiot' to me and I stick my tongue out in annoyance.

"Hey..." Natsume starts to say, "Listen... I have to talk to you later. Okay?"

I look back at him and he's nervous. The Natsume Hyuuga, nervous? Should I be concerned?

"Um... about wha-" A paper is slammed on the table. I look up and meet eyes with the teacher who has an annoyed smile plastered on his face.

"Stop talking and take the quiz. You too, Hyuuga-san."

I frown and flip the paper over.

It's like a whole different language.

How the heck am I supposed to pass this class????

Ahhhh...

I try my best to eliminate some of the questions and move past it but all I can think about is what Natsume wants to talk about.

He didn't look like his typical confident self.

Does he want to break up?

I face-palm myself and tell myself I'm being stupid.

"Pass up your tests." The teacher yawns and we pass them up. Natsume hands me his sheet and I try to meet his eyes but his head rests on his arms down on his desk.

Wow.

I sigh and pass up our papers in front of me.

By lunch, it takes all of my nerves not to confront him about it. I don't want to seem like a desperate clingy girlfriend.

He leads me to the roof and we sit. The anxiety keeps me from eating delicious hamburger steak.

"So/Um" We say at the same time. I laugh and let him talk first.

"So... are you free later today?" He doesn't look at me while he's saying that and I start to question the reason behind his own nervousness.

I nod in response, "Why?"

"Er..." He ruffles his hair. Cute. "My mom wants to meet you." His face pales in the light. I narrow my eyes at him.

That's what you were so nervous about-I want to say but shake my head. It must mean a lot to him and he's clearly nervous because of this.

"Okay."

"Are you sure?" He says softly. I'm starting to get scared.

"Why? What's wrong?" I lean in and he looks down at his feet.

"Its just... my moms mad at me because I didn't tell her about you."

I don't even know how to feel about that...
