I woke up because of the light shining through the window and stretched out on Jess' bed. I looked at the other three that were asleep and groaned. My head hurt.

I walked to the bathroom making sure not to wake up the girls and grabbed a pill for my head and took I drink from a water bottle that I pray was filled with water.

I walked back into the room and saw Grace getting up trying to be quiet but failing, she ended up falling on Jess who screamed which woke up Ivy. I leaned back against the wall and started dying laughing. "Good job Grace." I said as I laughed and they all glared at me.

Once they all got up we walked downstairs in our sweats and went to the kitchen. Jess' Mom had made us breakfast and greeted us with warm smiles and cups of coffee, on the table was cinnamon rolls. "Oh my god I love your mom!" I yelled as I rushed over to her and grabbed a mug she was holding out to me. "Thank you so much."

She smiled and chuckled lightly. "You're welcome Skyler." She said as Grace sprinted to her and hugged her. Ivy started squealing as she tasted the food. Jess' Mom chuckled and she looked over at Jess. "At least some people appreciate me."

Jess scoffed and walked over to the food. "I appreciate people that affect my life in a good way." She muttered as she pushed the coffee away from her.

"Not now Jessica, not while your friends are here." Her mom sighed.

Her mom seemed nice but I assumed it was because we were here. "My name is Jess. I go by Jess and I always have." She snapped.

I've seen Jess mad but the look she's giving her mom scares me. "Jessica is the name I gave you, it's also the name your father gave you. It's who you are sweetie."

"My name and that part of me died when Dad died." She snapped. I could hear Jess start to breath heavier. "That part of me went away when you got rid of Mason!" She yelled and I heard her voice crack. "You sent Mason away but kept Ashton because you couldn't handle seeing the monster you created!" She yelled as loudly as she could and I saw tears stream down her cheeks. "You lied to him. You told him Dad died because of him. Do you understand what happens to someone when you tell them that?! You broke the sweet brother I had! We all know how Dad died and it wasn't Masons fault, it was yours, you just couldn't handle the truth!" She screamed and I saw anger flash across her moms face before Jess was slapped.

I stared at them and couldn't stop myself I grabbed Jess' arm and pulled her away. "Jess don't. You don't want to make this worse." I said but she wouldn't listen.

She shook my arm off and looked at me. "No. You wanted to know why Mason is the way he is? That's why. This woman, the woman that was supposed to protect him broke him. He was the nicest person ever, wouldn't hurt a fucking fly Sky! Then she told him something that he never should've been told. He went through so much shit because of her and he never knew the truth." He took in a breath. "To him, he's the reason our dad's dead. He thinks he was the cause which is why he won't talk about our mother. He thinks he's the reason he was pushed away. He thinks he's the reason- do you understand why he's like this now?!" She asked and I felt a tear leave my eye.

I need to see Mason. "Girls I'm sorry but can you leave?" Her mother asked as the doorbell rang.

We all walked over to it and I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into my arms. "Well good morning to you too." Mason chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

I kissed his lips and didn't let go of him. "I love you." I mumbled quietly and slowly.

He looked down at me and smiled. "I love you too." He mumbled as he kissed my head. He let go of me and looked up to see Jess with puffy eyes. "Jess?" He asked frantically as he pulled her over to us. "Oh my god! Are you okay? What happened?!"
