I flinched when I felt Mason give my hand a light squeeze. He was sitting in front of me at the little cafe we used to go to. I haven't really gotten out much since the accident. Mason stared at me with concern filling his eyes and I just gave him a small smile trying to brighten my mood.

He leaned forward and brushed a piece of hair out of my face. "What're you thinking about?" He asked gently and I looked down at my hands.

I glanced back up at him but couldn't keep looking at him, he looked to much like his brother. "Ash..." I mumbled. "It's been four months Mason." I said trying to keep myself from crying.

He tilted his head to the side to read me. "It wasn't your fault. Sky he's going to wake up." He said but I could still hear his hope falter.

I looked down and shook my head. "I could've done so much differently. Mason you don't understand." I said trying to get my point across.
He grabbed my hand again and shook his head, he started to open his mouth to object but I cut him off. "You-you don't know what I said, I'm the reason he jumped. I told him I never wanted to see him again. This is my fault Mason." I could feel tears start to fall down my cheeks.

He stared at my and his eyes widened slightly before he stood up and picked me up from my seat. He pulled me into his arms and rubbed my back. "Babe he's going to be fine." He led me to the door as he said different things to make me feel better.

When we got to our houses I saw Ivy and Kim outside my house. Kim gave me a small smile and I stopped in my tracks. Why is she here? Mason gave my hand a tight squeeze and led me over to them. "Hey Skyler." She greeted nicely.

I ignored her and looked at Ivy. "Why's she here? You broke up with her sister, where's Alexis?" I questioned and Kim sighed.

Ivy's smile flattered at Alexis' name but I didn't mind, they broke up a month ago because Ivy caught her cheating with some guy. "We're going on a trip, you, me, Jess, Grace, and Kim." She said smiling. "We're taking a girls trip to the beach." I froze. "Kim's coming because I invited her, she's actually really nice when she's not being a bitch, and if I can forgive her so can you."

I scoffed and stared at Kim. "What's in it for you?" I questioned and Kim rolled her eyes. "I'm being serious." I said coming off rude.

She looked past me to Mason with a worried look and I didn't see his response but she answered my question. "Lex has been a bitch ever since they broke up and I need my sister back. She'll get jealous that I'm hanging out with Ivy." She confessed. "Your sister still obviously likes Lex so it works for her too." I rolled my eyes but didn't argue.

I walked past them and into the house, slowly being followed by Mason. He grabbed my hand so I turned around and I stared at him. "Did you set this up?" I asked annoyed. He didn't respond so I took that as an answer. "Why would you do this?" I growled.

He rubbed my arms. "You need some time away." He mumbled leaning closer to me so that he could whisper to me.

"And why can't you come with?" I questioned.

He sighed and looked at me. "Babe you can't look at me without thinking of Ashton. I can't be around you if I want you to get better." He whispered and I realized why he was whispering. I could see my mom in another room working. I grabbed his hand and pulled him downstairs so that we could talk in private.

I let go of his hand when we were in the basement. "I don't want to be with them, I just want to be with you." I argued.

He gave me a small smile but it seemed broken. "No you don't, you want to be with Ashton, you want to be able to see him awake and alive and I'm as close as you can get right now." He said calmly and quietly even though I know it broke his heart to say it.
