Starting over?

I looked over at Chase who was sitting two desks away as we dissected cats. Hunter was his partner and I got stuck with Jess who had no idea what she was doing.

"Where was Chase?" I asked Jess as she held her nose trying to block out the smell. I didn't want to ask him when we were eating last night.

She stared at me with clear disgust. "Um he was on vacation with Hunter, they've been in California." She explained and I looked over at him then her. "He was probably fucking some slut at a club." She scoffed as she crossed her arms.

I raised an eyebrow. "I thought you told me you didn't want to date him."

She huffed. "I changed my mind." I chuckled and she hit my arm. "I'm not kidding! I like him and I don't want him having sex with some girl." She muttered.

I rolled my eyes and we looked over at them and Chase was holding the dead cat by its paws and dancing it around on the desk while Hunter started flashing a flash light over it. "You sure you like that?" I asked as I died laughing and she put her head in her hands shaking her head.

They looked over at us and smirked. "Boys!" They're smirks dropped. "This is not time to mess around! This is serious and you two have been pushing my buttons all hour." Chase went to open his mouth but she cut him off. "No, you know what? Detentions! Both of you!" She screamed.

"Yes Mrs. Maine." The said in unison.

We both started laughing and she turned to us. "You think they're funny?" She asked us and we froze. "You can join them!" She snapped.

"Yes Mrs. Maine." We mumbled and she smiled.

She looked at the four of us. "It's nice to see you four back in school. I expect you'll be able to catch up on your homework." She said and we all groaned.

The bell rang and I walked out of the classroom with Jess. "Wanna have a girls night? My house? We can watch movies?" She asked and I sighed.

She stopped me and stared at me confused. "My sister and I still aren't on great terms..." I mumbled.

She chuckled. "Go talk to Alexis and tell her to talk to Ivy. They both like each other and if you fix that she'll forgive you." She said happily. "So?"

I groaned. "Fine." She squealed happily and I saw Chase's eyes widen as he walked past.

"I'm sorry did I just hear that noise come from Jessy?" Her asked and her face turned crimson red.

She hit his chest. "Don't call me that." She said as she blushed.

He pinched her cheek and smiled. "I'll see you in detention Jessy." He said as he walked away with Hunter.

She grabbed my hand and led me to our next class. "Why's he in my seat?" She questioned as we saw some guy sitting there. She walked up to him. "Hi, can you please get out of my seat?" The guys didn't move. "Sorry You must not have heard me, get the fuck out of my seat." She ordered and the guy stopped flirting with some girl and turned to Jess.

Holy shit that guy's hot, he's not Mason but damn. "Anything for you JJ." He smirked and she froze.

He got up and walked to the back of the class. She stood there frozen, staring at the chair. "Jess?" I questioned. She shook her head and sat down smiling. "Who is that?"
