I woke up on the most dreaded day possible. The day that my old school came. I looked around and glared at the person I saw in my room. "Get out." I ordered my dad. He started to open his mouth. "Leave." I seethed.
He didn't move. "Listen Skyler, your sister told me your old school was coming today. You have to be very careful." He warned.
I glared at him. "I'm highly aware of that. Now get the fuck out of my room."
"You can't speak to me like that."
I glared at him. "I just did. So get out or I'll make you." I threatened. I get this was harsh and anyone else would most likely get beaten, but all the shit he's put me through he deserves this. "Now!" I screamed and I felt a warm sting on my face. I held my cheek and he stared at me with a warning look. I stared at him. "One, Two, Three." I counted out loud and chucked the bottle beside me at him. "You're not my dad and you never will be. Get the fuck out, I'm not saying it again." I warned as he dodged the bottle.
He raised an eyebrow and I laughed. "You wouldn't touch me." He smirked. I crooked an eyebrow and walked over to my drawer, pulling out a gun.
"Try me." I said smirking. He glared at me and he left without another word. I set the gun down, it was empty, but I wasn't kidding, I would shoot him. I quickly got dressed and threw on the nearest hoodie and realized it was Mason's when the smell hit me.
I went to take it back off when I heard my phone ring. I rushed over to it. "Mason's giving you a ride right?" Jess asked.
I groaned. "Yes. I don't see why this is necessary."
She chuckled. "Because, we don't want anyone hurting you and if it looks like he's your boyfriend then no one will." I hung up the phone not caring and tossed my glasses on. I'd rather not wear them, but I have to so that I come off how I'm supposed to.
I walked out of my house and threw my keys at my sister who was on her phone. I walked over to Mason who was leaning against his car. He was smirking at me and I just glared. "Let's go." I muttered.
We had talked a little bit about what happened but not enough for either of us to know what's happening between us. "Good morning to you too." He said sounding amused. He opened his door and slid in. He looked over at me as he started the car letting the engine roar to life. "Nice sweatshirt." He smirked.
I groaned. "I meant to take this off."
He raised an eyebrow as he reversed out of the driveway. "You were wearing it earlier?" Arrogance laced his voice.
I rolled my eyes. "No, it was the sweatshirt that was closest to me, so I thre- I don't have to explain myself to you."
He laughed and glanced over at me. "Are you ready for today?" He asked. I would never be ready for today. I just found out that my best friend, Tracey, tried to have sex with Finn and that Liam, my other friend, told the whole school we had sex which never happened. I shook my head. I felt betrayed. He squeezed my hand while he drove with the other. "I'll be there if you need me." He gave me a genuine smile.
I looked over at him and nodded my head giving a small smile as we pulled into school. "Here we go." I mumbled quietly.
He got out of the car and walked over to my door letting me out. I saw my old friends staring over at me and laughing at the fact that I was obviously the shy girl because they all knew I had to be. They all knew what happened and they all knew what would happen if I got expelled again. "Hey, don't look at them, look at me." He whispered into my ear as he cupped my cheek and made me look at him.
I looked up at him wanting to hide in his chest. "I-I can't..."
He pressed his lips to mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck kissing him back. "You and I both know you're not the shy, good, innocent girl you act like, so why don't you prove to me that you're your own person." He said as he pulled away. I stared at him confused with why he kissed me.
