You're the light, you're the night
You're the colour of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much-Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding

I stared at the ring on my finger. It was beautiful. There was no doubt in my mind that Alex had chosen the right one. He could have gotten me a Ring Pop though and my answer would have still been the same.
A week after the midnight proposal, we were now in front of the judge, ready to get married. The people that mattered where there; my dad and Nicole, Marty, Luke and despite the fact that she had said she wasn't going to go, Addie showed up for her brother.
We were dressed casually, I was wearing a simple dress that accentuated my nearly ten-week pregnant bump and Alex wore slacks and a dress shirt. It was perfect. I was sure that the happiness in his eyes reflected my own. My dad's eyes were tearful; he never thought he'd see me get married. And Marty couldn't be more proud than he was. Alex was like his son, after all.
The ceremony was quick, only about fifteen minutes. We said our I do's and were on our way after taking a couple of pictures.
"Congratulations, darling," Marty said, "You deserve this. And this precious baby deserves to have two happy parents."
Alex squeezed my hand. He hadn't let me go since we walked out of the courthouse. It was such a surreal feeling to officially be his wife, for me to be able to call him my husband. My dad hugged me once again, placing a kiss on my head.
"Congratulations, princess. Enjoy your week."
"My week?" I frowned. He was acting as if I was going away.
Everyone grinned and I saw Alex taking out two booklets - passports - from his pocket. Luke chuckled from behind, while I stood in awe as Alex then pulled out two tickets to Cozumel, Mexico.
"Wh-What... What is that?"
"Just because we didn't have a wedding doesn't mean that we don't get a honeymoon, baby. Like I said, you deserve everything."
"But, your work... Don't you have to work?"
"I do, but once I explained the situation they didn't mind. It'll only be a week, love, but I wanted to give you something other than just a courthouse wedding."
I wrapped my arms around him and he chuckled. After a few more goodbyes, Luke drove us to the airport. Alex had prepared everything, from buying clothes for me to the tickets, and everything in between. I couldn't help but feel blessed. That is, until one thing came to my mind.
"Alex.. I don't know how to swim."

I was awestruck when we arrived at the Beloved Playa Mujeres Resort, near Cancun. The beach was more secluded and Alex had opted for a penthouse rather than a regular hotel room which I would have happily agreed to. The suite was over 4,000 square feet, and I couldn't understand why on earth we needed so much space.
There was a beautiful terrace with a Jacuzzi which the most breathtaking ocean view. I stood on the terrace for the first time so close to the ocean. I closed my eyes and let the unique smell of it to invade my senses when I felt Alex hugging me from behind, his hands cradling my bump.
