After I said that, my mom stopped the car and forced me to walk to school. It wasn't so bad, I just need something to get my mind off it. And i knew something that would never fail to do so; school.

As I was walking silently on my own to school, I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey! Wait up!"

It was the voice of a boy... My age... But I didn't recognise this voice... No, not at all.

I stopped walking, giving the boy a chance to catch up.

"Uh... Hi?" I said, as he finally caught up with me.

Woah... This boy was... Woah- Frank, no! Calm down!

"Hi... You don't know me... But we have a few classes together."

I couldn't help but stare at him... Not in a creepy way, or a rude way... I just couldn't help but find him... Pretty.

"I think I've seen you in Music with Mr Weekes." I said, still subtly admiring the boy's features.

The boy's face lit up, "Yeah, you have. I'm Gerard by the way."

"Gerard... Way?" I said, smiling.

"Oh, yeah that's me. And, you are...?"

Fuck. I had to say it...

"Frankie Iero." I said hesitantly.

"Oh, sweet. Can I walk you to school?"

I nodded, and began walking again, this time, not alone.

We talked the whole way there, mostly about our favorite bands... Turns out, we like a lot of the same things!

This boy made me feel something weird... Something I'd never felt for anyone else...

First period was always the worst, no matter what weekday it was.

Mondays was worse than others; History.

It also helped that our History teacher was an asshole; Mr Darwin.

He had a reputation for abusing students (physically and mentally), being transphobic and kicking his son out for being gay.

As usual I was seated in the back corner of the room, I wanted try to relax and lower my chances of having to talk as much as I could..

"Frankie, can you read for the class?"

I swear to fucking god, he reads my mind.

He caught me completely off guard, "Fu- What?" I stuttered, quickly realising what was happening.

(I may or may not have been thinking about Gerard.)

I heard the quiet laughter of my peers.

Mr Darwin sighed, "I'll repeat myself, Frankie can you read for the class?"
