I slowly opened up the carefully folded note.
Was it my mom? I wondered.
As the paper was revealed, so were the neatly written words.
I knew my mom's handwriting... This was hers..
It read;
'Frank,
I'm sorry for what I did to you and Josh. Especially you.
You're both such amazing sons. I was just so scared, I thought I was losing you. .
I didn't want to look weak in front of our family, instead I lost my own two sons.
I heard about the accident from Josh, Gerard told him.
I've explained everything to your brother, Tyler and Gerard already.
I came as soon as I heard the news. I couldn't bear the thought of losing you. Especially with how you feel about me. I couldn't live with that.
As I'm writing this, I'm sitting right beside you. You look so peaceful, happy even.
I'll stay with you as long as it takes.
I want to be here when you're awake.
If I'm not, I asked the nurse to give you this letter.
