Louis woke up from his tossing nightmare. He thought Zayn would have come after him, to kill him. But thank the lord it was only a dream. He layed there in his comfy bed, rubbing his eyes, which were full of tears. He wasn't going to lie, he missed the boys. He missed his family and most of all, he missed his mum. He didn't know what to do. Were they going to come for him? To find him? So many thoughts were racing through his head at the time. He had no clue as to what was happening. Not even what time or day it was. Until the door to his room slowly creaked open. It startled him. A rather familiar face came in to greet him.
"L-Louis?" Said a little brown haired man with a thick Irish accent. Louis' eyes flared open wide as he slowly lurched up from his bed. His mind was lost in space for a moment, knowing that he knew that voice. That voice sounded familiar to him. As he looked, the water came trickling down his pupils as a small smile latched onto his face.
"N-N-Niall? Is it really you?" He questioned the skinny Irishman. Niall nodded his head, making his way over to Louis' side of the bed. He sat down next to him. "It's really me, buddy. I'm here." Niall whispered, his eyes also filled with tears. Louis could not speak. All he did, was bring himself forward and embrace Niall tightly. Niall hugged back. Louis began crying louder and louder. Just to know that his friend was there to help him. To know that he wasn't alone. It made him feel better.
"I'm so glad we found ya," Niall said, wiping his eyes. Louis pulled back and placed his arm on Niall's shoulder. Just to make sure it still wasn't a dream.
"How......how did you find me?" Louis wondered.
"We've been looking for ya fer days. But we managed to finally find ya in a forest. Creepy actually. I'm te one who spotted ya first. I called Liam, and Harry over to help carry ya to te bus. We were a bit scared that you were dead. After all, you were layin in te middle of a dark, scary forest all curled up in a ball."
That made Louis so terrified. What if his dream wasn't actually a dream. What if it was real? But it couldn't have. If the boys found him in a forest, it made sense that it was all real. He tilted his head up more, looking right into Niall's blue eyes. Niall could sense that Louis was afraid. Afraid and even confused. Which made sense. Niall patted Louis' back to make sure he stayed calm.
"N-Niall? Wh-where's Zayn?" Asked the poor Donny boy. Niall's eyebrows rose. He had no idea why Louis was asking about Zayn. Seemed pretty weird for him.
"Uh Louis, why are you asking that? I don't know where he is?" Answered Niall. Louis just looked back down. His face all wet from his tears. His cheeks were bright red. His eyes looked as if they have been to hell and back. All that was going on, it just didn't make any sense to Louis anymore. Nothing did. And more importantly, where was Zayn? Was he there? Was he hiding in the trees when Niall found him? The more Louis thought, the more he got confused. His head hurt from too much thinking. He was struggling like most people would at that time. Although, it seemed much harder for him considering the fact that he was still upset about his mum and his father starting a fight with him.
"Louis, what exactly happened to you out there?" Niall asked. He was just so curious. And now knowing that it obviously had something to do with Zayn, only made Niall wonder more.
"I-I don't know. I really don't. I remember running. Just running. Then, I fell. I hit my head against a rock and I just couldn't move. After that, I-I....I guess I must have blacked out or something," Louis lied to Niall. He didn't want to trouble Niall anymore than he had to so he just stretched the truth a bit. Just then, Harry came in, carrying a cup of hot tea. Louis smiled as he saw his friend walk in.
"Harry!"
"Hey, Louis. How ya feeling, mate?"
"I'm okay. Head hurts a bit."
Harry sat the cup of tea down on the table next to the bed. He looked down at Louis' face before tilting his head slightly to see a bruised and little bloody graze. Thankfully, it wasn't bleeding as much. Niall took care of that. Louis looked up at Harry, who he noticed was desperately trying to contain his cries for as long as he could. He didn't want to cry in front of Louis. Not when so much shit was going on. So he did his best to just be a supportive band mate. Before walking out of the room, Harry stopped to whisper into Niall's ear. Louis couldn't hear the conversation but he was definitely curious as to what it was about. Then, Harry left. But just as he walked out, he stood outside the door, talking to someone. Louis couldn't see who it was. They hid behind the wall. All that was heard, was a woman's British accent and a tiny whimper from a small child. Just then, the door opened more and there she was. Eleanor, with Freddie wrapped tight in her arms. A single drop fell from her right eye. Her makeup all ruined from spending the whole time crying. But she didn't care about that. It was all Louis, that metered. She slowly walked in, keeping her eyes locked on Louis'.
"Hey, babe." Louis said, his voice growing weary and weak. He was still pretty tired and in pain from fighting his way through the deep woods. Eleanor plopped down next to the bed, she could barely speak. It was so hard for her to.
"H-h-hi Louis," she quietly said. Louis could tell she was on the verge of breaking down any second. He didn't want to waste anymore time. All of a sudden, a cry came from little Freddie. Louis peered down. Freddie noticed Louis' wound on the side of his head. It scared him. That made Louis feel bad. He didn't mean to startle his own son. Maybe he should have turned his head over, he thought.
Louis reached out his hands to signal Freddie that he wanted to hold him. But Freddie pulled back, crying and deathly afraid of Louis. Instead, he just kept his head tucked in Eleanor's shoulder, not wanting to even look at his father. Louis felt heartbroken. He scared his son. "Oh Freddie, it's okay. Don't be scared," said Eleanor. But Freddie kept screaming, his face like a wet sponge. Niall stood up and lifted his hands out to Eleanor."Here, let me take him. You can talk to Louis alone."
Eleanor did as Niall said. She handed Louis' son over to Niall and he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Now, it was just Louis and El. Louis kept his head down. He sighed deeply. Eleanor rubbed his back, feeling bad for her boyfriend.
"This was all my fault," cried Louis. Eleanor's face got pale.
"No, Louis. It wasn't your fault...." Louis cut her off.
"ELEANOR, I scared Freddie."
"He was afraid of your cut, Louis. Only that."
Louis didn't bother to look at Eleanor. His head fully down, staring at the covers. Dots of tears stained on them. He tried so hard to hold it in but he just completely lost it. He couldn't handle it anymore. "Eleanor, don't you see? I scared my own son. I scare everyone. I'm always miserable inside. I feel like nothing, I drink too much......I JUST...." He sighed before finishing. "I just don't know if I'm good enough anymore."
Eleanor wiped her eyes, trying not to show Louis that she was crying. It was hard for her to have to help him out when he was going through so much."Louis. None of this is your fault. You just need some help. If you let us, we can give you that help," she said. Louis quietly nodded his head, leaning it onto Eleanor's shoulder. They layed there for a good half hour before coming downstairs to spend some time with each other. You know, as a band. It was stressful for Louis to even talk to his band mates after all that occurred. But they all went easy on him.
