After the Doncaster lad was discharged from the Hospital, the boys took him back to his house, where he hung out on the couch, surrounded by his band mates. He wasn't feeling very well like he usually was. He pretty much did nothing but watch football on the Telly. Liam noticed that Louis was keeping himself quiet a lot. He wondered why. Maybe just because he had a really rough time going through so many stuff and being friends with Zayn again tried to bring some perspective into his life. But either way, he was still depressed. Still moaning in his sleep every night. Saying things that didn't make sense and crying along with it. They all kept a close eye on Louis through his horrible times.
Louis woke up screaming that night. Clutching his pillow tightly and yelling. He sounded like he was being murdered. Such a cry out of such a gentle soul. Zayn ran in to Louis' room, jumping onto his bed and shaking the poor Tomlinson, waking him up.
"Louis, calm down. Its okay," Zayn said, rubbing Louis' head slightly.
Louis opened his sleepy eyes, looking at Zayn. Soon after, the other boys came rushing in. They saw Zayn sitting on the edge of the bed, rubbing the boy's head of hair and slowly walked up. Harry sat down next to Zayn. "Is he alright?" He asked.
"Wicked bad dream, he had," Zayn answered. "I came in here to find him sweating his arse off, grabbing the pillow tight. Sounded like he was in a bit of a jam. But he seems better now."
Just then, a small cry came from the room a few doors down from Louis'. They all looked at each other, remembering that Eleanor wasn't going to be back for a few hours and Louis wasn't able to even talk properly, so Liam went down the hallway, to Freddie's room, pulling him out of his crib. Harry stroked Louis' leg, as he sighed loudly. He just wasn't doing so good. They all knew it. But how where they going to fix it? The door popped open and in stepped Liam, holding little Freddie in his big arms. Louis ever so slightly opened his eyes for a minute or two. He gazed at his son, Freddie looking back at him. Freddie had no clue what was going on. Most babies don't know about what goes on with their parents. It's pretty strange to think about.
"Here, I'll take em," said Niall, reaching his arms out wide to Liam holding the baby.
"Niall, you've had him enough," a small, gentle voice came from the bed. They all turned their heads to see Louis, smiling a little. Niall giggled. Louis slowly sat up on his bed, placing his hands out towards Liam.
"Louis, are you sure you wanna....?"
"Liam, trust me. It's okay," Louis said.
Liam gently gave the infant over to Louis. Louis layed back, Freddie in his arms. He smiled brightly as he held him close. All the boys were at a loss for words. Seeing Louis holding Freddie like that, made them feel happy that he was being a real father to him. They loved that he was always so caring of a person. And now, he could use that skill for his own. Louis gripped little Freddie's hand as he bent over to give him a kiss on the cheek. Zayn and Harry smiled. For once, Louis didn't feel so miserable, or depressed. He actually felt rather happy and cheerful. It was certainly a touching moment for them. Then all of a sudden, Louis' phone rang. Harry looked over to the bed side table where his phone sat. He picked it up, just looking at it, shaking his head. Liam peered over at him, nervous.
"What is it, Harry?"
Harry said nothing. He was in too much shock to even talk. All he did, was simply turn the phone around and show the boys. Niall was speechless. They all were. Their eyes were glued to Louis' phone. Not even Louis himself could get their attention. Louis just sat there, wondering what was going on.
"Uh, boys? I don't mean to pry but what the hell is going on?" Said Louis.
It was like a shock of lightning struck the boys hearts. Niall quickly had no time to think. He raced out of the room as fast as he could, running out of the door and to his car. Louis was very confused. Harry didn't want Louis to have any more to worry about but this was indeed an emergency. Well, for one of them at least. Harry gave Louis his phone. As he read the incoming text, his eyes grew bigger. He tilted down his head. Now things were only getting worse. Not just for Louis now, but for his band mate as well. Louis quickly got to his feet, gave Freddie to Zayn and rushed down the steps, following Niall's trail. Harry and Liam followed too, trying to stop Louis. Niall was inside his car, about to pull out when Louis stopped, dead behind his black Range Rover. His face, scared for his life. Niall stopped.
"NIALL! DON'T DO THIS, MAN!" Screamed Louis. "DON'T END UP LIKE ME! JUST MOVE ON!"
"NO LOUIS! YOU DON'T GET TO SPEAK! I HAVE TO BE THERE FOR HER!!" Niall yelled, making Louis move aside so he could pull out of Louis' driveway. And he was gone. Niall left Louis in a cloud of dust, on the street. Harry and Liam ran out to him.
"Louis, let him go, mate. This has to happen," said Liam. "He needs to be at his mothers side."
Louis fell to his knees on his driveway, bringing his hands over his head, clutching it tight. He didn't know what to do. This was turning out to be the worst day ever for him. Louis was in a whole puddle of emotions. He was trapped, and he couldn't get out.
"C'mon." Yelled Harry, slowly getting into his car. "We should be there too. For Niall."
They all got into Harry's car and drove off to the Hospital. The sky started getting pretty dark as a storm was blowing in. Couldn't be more perfect timing, right? LOL. They reached the Hospital and they all ran in, to find Denise along with Theo, sitting out in the waiting room. It was bad. They knew it. Louis tried his best to stay calm, for Niall's sake. They all knew something wasn't right and now it was worse. As they roamed the hospital walls, they found themselves looking in through a small window. Hard to see, but there was a boy sitting at the edge of a bed, next to an older woman. Her face as pale as ever. The brown haired 24 year old sobbing next to her as he gently stroked her hand. The sight no one should ever have to see. Louis saw it all. Twice, now. It was happening again. Only this time, it was his band mates turn to experience it. He felt terrible, watching Niall along with Bobby and Greg all gather around Maura, their eyes drained with sadness. Harry put his hand on Louis' shoulder.
"Lets not jump to conclusions, Louis," Harry stated, noticing his friend crying his eyes out. "Maybe she's just very sick and everyone's worried about her."
