A bright light shadowed a familiar face as she took hold of Louis' hand, gripping it tight. She gleamed at him, then she gently rose to kiss his cheek as she faded from view. Louis opened his pupils, the light blinding his vision a bit before adjusting to the extreme power. He felt as if he couldn't move. His arm was sore, his head hurt. He lifted up his chin, glancing over the edge of the bed to see a vase full of flowers on a small table. A card that read Louis' name was attached to it. Balloons filled the room as well. Red and white. Colors for the Doncaster Rovers.

His body motioned a bit as he turned his back, trying to stretch out. The pain felt quite intense for him. Just then, the door creaked open and in stepped all the boys. They had been worried sick for him. A brief moment of silence before loads of hugging and shouting took place. Louis didn't know why but for some reason, he kinda missed the boys. He was glad to see them all there, looking at him. It was a ball of energy that soared through him.

"We're so glad you're alright, Tommo." Liam said, smiling the biggest smile.

"Yeah I'm okay. Uh, where's Zayn?"

"He's in the waiting room. He was a bit scared coming in here after what happened. It was a scary thing for him, for us too."

Louis knew Zayn didn't mean to crash his car into his. It was an accident. But Zayn thought different. He almost killed Louis and that was just not acceptable to him. He couldn't imagine him killing anyone let alone Louis. It just didn't seem right.

Louis got very tired right away. Might have been the medicine beginning to work. He got a little woozy from time to time and didn't really want to talk much. The boys understood. It must have been hard for Louis. Very hard. He's gone through such terrible things and to just finally let all his thoughts and emotions come out....well, it was different for him.

"I-I wanna speak to Zayn," Louis mumbled softly.

Harry's green eyes saddened as his head turned to face the door. He nodded towards Liam, signaling him to go and fetch the Bradford boy outside. For a moment, it was silent. Nothing could be heard but the sounds of the people outside the room. Doctors and Nurses walking around checking on patients. Heart monitors were sounding a few rooms away. The one thing Louis absolutely hated about hospitals. That dreadful noise that no one should ever have to hear. The noise that forever changes people's lives as one leaves the concrete earth for the stars above. The worst part, Louis and the boys had no idea that just three doors from them, a little thirteen year old boy took his last breath then his soul rose up from the bed as he was lifted to heaven. He was gone. Mother and father both in tears seeing their beloved son's lifeless body laying in front of them. Covering the boy's face with a blanket, they knew it was just too late to save him now. And to think that it all started by a simple biking accident tortured the family deeply as they knew this was a tragic goodbye.

Liam came out into the large waiting area. Right away, Zayn's head rose along with a damp tissue in his right hand. His shirt stained with small wet dots crinkled up like paper. As Liam motioned for Zayn to follow him, a twenty one year old girl came running up to the both of them. She was concerned.

"Is Louis......gonna be okay?" She asked them.

"Yeah," replied Liam with a smile. "He'll be fine."

As the two of them entered the quiet room, Louis sat up on his bed, looking into Zayn's eyes as they stared right back. Malik tried so hard to keep his emotions in so he wouldn't throw so much on Louis. He slowly approached the sad boy on the hospital bed and as simply stood there. Not saying a single word, he paused briefly before as fast as lightning, he grabbed Louis's shirt tight and leaned over, embracing him in a hug of emotions. As he wept loudly, Louis pulled him closer. The grief he felt for his bandmate was unlike any. The rest of them left the room, giving Louis and Zayn time to talk alone.

"I-I'm so sorry, Louis," cried Zayn wrapped in Louis's shoulder.

Louis knew his mate thought of it as all his fault for accidentally running him over. He comforted him through the sadness and pain that he once felt himself long ago.

"No, no," replied the saddened Doncaster boy. "Don't be sorry, Zayn. This was all my fault. I lost my freaking mind and I guess I just felt too afraid to allow help from anyone."

"But it's my fault for smashing into you with my car. I should've seen you. I should've looked where I was going."

Louis pressed his hand on Zayn's and continued to loosen the Bradford's pressure on himself. From then on, he definitely was sure that he needed some form of assistance for his terrifying experiences he's been having through his mind. With all the suicidal thoughts and drinking habits, he's gone rogue.

"Zayn.......NONE of this was your doing. It was all me. I'm just not cut out for any of this anymore. I mean, look what I've done! I've started a row with Niall, I got addicted to drinking all the bloody time, I completely ruined my mum's party by fighting with my birth father......and, oh yeah.......I TRIED KILLING MYSELF! This is me, not you. I just need some time to get real help. I'll be okay. Besides, this is where I belong. Here with you lads."

The tear that fell from his bittersweet eyelids landed on top of Zayn's shirt, soaking into the fabric. After a few touching moments between the two of them, Liam, Harry and Niall all re entered the room, staring into the face of Louis and Zayn hugging it out as friends again. Though their fights in the past seemed gruesome, they worked as one and fought off the bad blood between. Harry smiled at them once he saw how happy Louis seemed to be. Not feeling so alone anymore, the small chap from Donny asked if they would stay with him until he was to be discharged. They said yes.
