I met with Bradley once more before the mission. I ran into him unplanned at the local Shoprite while I was with Shaun. He had been staring at two cans of beans comparing the prices. I almost turned around to walked out of the isle when he called out my name.

'Would you look at that, I thought you didn't shop at local stores.' He chuckled.

'Whose this?' Shaun asked.

'Brad.' I hugged him then introduced the two boys together. It felt weird to see them both like that.

We walked around the store picking our items together and sharing random facts. Shaun had not questioned why Brad kept refereeing to me as Melanie and I guess now it's because he already knew. He did however make the mistake of almost calling me Amanda when we finally got out of the store. We were saying goodbye to him because he had to get back to school and I had the rest of the day to myself. Shaun took a turn left and I felt Brad grab my hand behind me.

'So, how about we just go ahead and speak about the mission right now?' he said.

'Follow me.' I pulled him towards me.

I took him back to my place and told him everything. Who I worked for and what they had done to me. Also what I wanted to do to them. He didn't look confused just a little shocked by the fact that I had been told to kill him. He smiled at the fact that I had decided to save him and his friends and that's when I stopped.

'I cant do that.'

'What do you mean?'

'I can only save one of you Brad, you. Your brother and his friends have to go.'

He took some time to take it in and then reasoned with himself.

'Look I never really cared much for my brothers friends and for trying to rob your workplace they should be jailed but, do you have to kill them though, especially Alan.'

'Anthony took my life away from me. They destroyed everything I could've known. Made me kill people I could have helped. I don't want to be that person anymore Bradley.'

'Then just stop.' He replied.

'It wouldn't change anything. He has like ten others like me, me leaving wouldn't stop anything.'

I watched him think for a moment. 'I chose you because Jacobs expects me to kill you. He has people all around me, if he believes I've killed you, he wont be after you. You said you wanted to help me.'

'Yes Amanda but this? This is helping you kill my own brother.'

'Your brother is a bum anyway.' I stopped and watched the hurt sink in. 'You'd be helping me save a lot of other people's brothers Bradley. You're making a small sacrifice for a big cause. One life, well four , for millions of other lives who could potentially piss Jacobs off and have him order them killed.'

Bradley had a soft heart. His brother had always treated him like a useless piece of crap. Getting through to him would be easy. I knew I could use him to help me. I had enough dirt on him if the nice version didn't work.

'Why does this seem so wrong though?' he said to me.

'Because you're the good one. Alan planned to throw you under the bus if it ever came to that point.'

'Oh yeah, how do you know that?'He suddenly raised his voice.

'I did my research, you know it's true. He would.'

Bradley considered the information I had laid on the table. He turned to me with tears in his eyes and he walked closer towards me. I took his hand and placed it on my cheek.

'Brad. Help me...please.' I begged him. His eyes shifted and he looked out to my window then back at my face. Tears had began pouring out of his eyes. He knew that the information he had received was extremely sensitive. He knew he had only two choices: to help save the world and run away with me, as I had put it, or to die, that I hadn't said.

'Okay' he finally said. 'I'll do it.'
