Hayden had left from the cafeteria in a huff, his face exceptionally red, as he dumped his food into the bin. The whole table was still gaping at Kenzie as she buried her face in her hands. Taking advantage of this distraction, I rushed out after Hayden.

"We really need to talk now," I grabbed Hayden's hand as he stalked out of the cafeteria, still exceptionally pissed over Johnny and Kenzie.

To be honest, I totally didn't expect Kenzie to say Johnny's her boyfriend, but I guess she was edged on by Lauren. Now it's going to be such a mess. I can't imagine Johnny's reaction when he hears about this, though. He might be happy, a small smile rose onto my cheeks at that thought.

"Miss Wikipedia again," he sighed, "What's the deal now?"

"I thought I told you to be patient and wait for me to sort it out? Why did you go and trigger her?" I shook my head. He was way too impatient, and now it would be hard for me to even do anything.

"You will sort it out? Who are you? Do you even have the ability?" he's words were cutting and sharp, causing my heart to clench.

"I-" I bit my lips, "Just trust me, okay?" I had enough of people talking about me as if I was some weak little girl. Plain Annie Leblanc can't do anything, I clenched my fists.

"Alright," his face softened, "Are you going to tell me about perfect Johnny and Kenzie now?" he rubbed his temples wearily. He still looked mad, and I waited for him to calm down.

Once he was breathing normally, I uncrossed my arms and looked back to make sure Kenzie wasn't looking. She would go ballistic if she finds out I'm talking to Hayden, but I really hope that I can make things good between them again.

"No, Look, I'm just trying to help you guys okay? No matter how much you try to explain to Kenzie, she will never forgive you because she's stubborn, but I want to listen to the other side of the story," I started, and held up my hand to stop Hayden from speaking when he opened his mouth.

"Hopefully I can explain to her if I think you have your reasons," I continued, looking at him.

"What do you think?" I asked anxiously, waiting for his reaction and I was relieved when he smiled brightly.

"Deal," Hayden agreed, stretching out his hand as if to pull me into a hug, but settled with patting me on the head like a puppy. I rolled my eyes, "I'm not a dog, and a hug is alright," I curled my arms around his body lightly.

He froze as I grinned, "Chill,"

"Are you always this direct?" he asked, shaking his head while I shrugged, "Call me tonight and we will have a nice chat. By the way, not all things seem like how they seem," I grinned, trying to hint that Kenzie and Johnny were not together, but he just stood there, looking confused.

I guess not all handsome people have brains like Johnny.
