Zach Herron's P.O.V.
"Hey, did you hear?" Sam asked, Leia and I quickly looking at her.
"About what?" Soleia asked.
"About the event next week. I forgot what it's called, but, it's supposed to be where you guys perform your talent or something." Sam replies, "I think it was, Cambridge Got Talent or something. I don't know. This school gives weird names for stuffs."
"Oh... Well, I'm not entering. I don't have any talent whatsoever."
"Bullshit." Sam said, quickly surprising us. One thing I learned about hanging out with these girls is that Sam is straightforward. Very straightforward, "I heard you sing before. Your voice is amazing."
I laughed, "That's a funny joke, Sam."
"She's right, you know." Leia spoke, "We've heard you sing before. It was great."
"No, it's not." I argued.
"Whatever you say, Zachary." Sam said, rolling her eyes as she used my full first name. I gave her a playful glare.
"Don't use my full name." I said, then added, "Samantha."
In turn, she gave me a glare. She scoffed, "Well, if you're not entering, I'm gonna write your name there. I mean, all you have to do is list a name. No one's looking at who puts the name down."
I just stuck my tongue out at her. She did the same to me. Leia then commented with a roll of her eyes, "You two sure do get along."
You can just hear the sarcasm in her voice. Sam was about to rebut when a curly haired boy passed by, Sam quickly calling him, "Jack!"
The boy stopped walking and looked around, searching for the caller. Sam stood up and grabbed him by the arm, pulling him towards us. She looked at us then back at the curly haired boy, "Jack, this is Zach and Leia. Zach, Leia, this is Jack."
"Hi." He said in a British-Australian like accent. I heard he lived in the U.K. for elementary school then lived in Australia for middle school.
"Hi." Leia said, extending her hand. The shook hands and I did the same to Jack.
"So, Jack. We were talking about the upcoming event next week. About the talent search thingy that Mr. Armando told us about and I'm putting Zach on the list and I'm hoping you'll join too." Sam said. I can't believe this girl.
"Um... Maybe."
"Good! You're in!" She said, then looked around. I mentally facepalmed. She turned to Andy, "Andy, you know him, don't you? That Marais guy."
"Yeah. And he's not "that Marais guy", he has a name. It's Jonah."
"Well, I'm sorry. It's not like I know every student's name here." Then she perked her eyebrows, "Since when have you been so defensive about a guy?"
Sam's eyes widen before she smirked, "You like him, don't you?"
"I do not. We're just friends." Leia defended.
"Sure, whatever." Then she turned to the brown haired boy, then back at Leia, "Call him."
"I don't need to. He's right there." Leia said, pointing at the next victim.
"I mean, bring him here. We're not that close but I heard he got a good voice." Sam said, pushing Leia into the poor boy's direction. When Leia was near to the boy, I said to Sam, "You're such a good friend."
With a roll of eyes, she replied with as much sarcasm, "I know right."
Then Leia returned to us with the brown haired boy. "Guys, this is Jonah. Jonah, this is Jack, Zach, and Sam."
"Hey, you wanna join them when they perform next week?!" Sam asked enthusiastically.
"I know, she's crazy." I groaned after Sam elbowed me. She rolled her eyes, then smiled at Jonah, "Ignoring the blushing potato, what do you say?"
"I'm not a potato." I grumbled. He looked at us weirdly, "Uh... Okay."
"Great!" Sam said, searching the crowd for her next victim. Her eyes widen as she spotted a blonde boy, "Corbyn!"
Corbyn walked over, confusion written all over his face, "Yeah?"
"You're gonna perform on the upcoming event next week!" She said, more like commanded.
"Sam, you're scaring the poor boy."
"Oh, hush, red cheeks. I wasn't asking your opinion." She turned to the blonde, "You'll be there, right?"
"Um... There's no reason for me to be there. I have no talent, whatsoever."
"Shush, child." She said, putting a finger on top of his lips, "I heard enough lies already." Removing her finger, she once again scan the crowd.
"Aren't you satisfied with us yet?" I asked, hoping to save the next victim.
"Last one." She said, searching the crowd. "There! Daniel!"
When the boy didn't hear her, and got up from his table and exited the courtyard, she quickly made her way through the crowd, grabbing the boy by the arm.
"Oh, boy." I muttered as she started walking back to us, Daniel in her grip.
"Um... What are you doing?" I saw Daniel stop walking.
"Less talking, more walking." And she pulled him to us. She turned to us, smiling, "And now that you're complete, we can now think of a band name."
"Woah, woah, woah. Band? I'm so confused." Daniel interrupts.
"You know that upcoming event next week? The talent search thingy? I'm listing these guys, and you in it, as a band." He turned to look at me, his jaw drop. I then sighed, "You can't really say no to her."
"Glad you know that." Sam said, crossing her arms.
"I guess. Why don't we?" He said, "It'll be fun."
"Wait. Why don't we?" Sam asked.
"Yeah. Why don't we form a band?" Daniel said.
"No, no. That's perfect. 'Why don't we'." Sam said, her eyes sparkling. We all looked at her, confused.
"Anddddd she's officially gone off the deep end."
"No, moron." She rolled her eyes at me, "The band name will be, 'Why don't we'."
"Hey. Don't call me a moron." I grumbled, again.
"Okay, Zachary."
I stuck my tongue out, "Samantha."
