Jack Avery's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of Sam throwing up in the bathroom. I stood up, walking in and holding her hair up. I rubbed her back soothingly. She looked up at me, wiping her lips with the back of her hand, "Sorry to wake you up."

"It's okay. Don't worry about it." I said. She stood up and flush before washing her hands. She then brush her teeth before returning to me, "A not so 'good' morning."

"I know. Just lay down and I'll be right back." She laid on the bed, closing her eyes. I grabbed the thermometer before returning to the room. She looked up at me as I closed the door. I took her temperature as she breathed heavily, "How high?"

"101.2 so it's not that bad." I said, her groaning after, "Do you need anything?"

She just shook her head, pulling the covers up to her chin, "Okay. But, let me know if you do."

She just nodded, turning to her side and closing her eyes. I went downstairs, sitting on the couch. I sighed, feeling bad that Sam's sick. Just then, there was a knock on the door. I got up, opening it to see Jonah and Leia. I raised a brow, "What're you guys doing here?"

"Well, Sam invited us last night." Jonah said, followed by Leia saying, "She told us that we should have a double date."

"Oh, um. Sam's not feeling good. She threw up this morning." I said.

"How she feeling?" Leia asked.

"I don't know. She has a fever of 101.2 though."

"Well, just tell her we dropped by."

"And that we hope she gets better."

"I will." I said before they leave. I closed the door, sitting back on the couch, laying down. A couple seconds later, I heard a couple of footsteps before hearing Sam's voice, "Jack..."

"Yeah?" I turned around, seeing her standing with a blanket drape over her shoulder. She mumbled, "I need something."

"What do you need?" I asked, standing up and walking over to her. She grabbed my hand and led me upstairs. She laid under the covers as I sat on the bed, "Stay."

"Okay. I will." I held her hand, her smiling in return. I smiled back, her saying, "I needed some company."

"Well, I'm here." I said, she nodded, "Thanks, Jack."
