"Hey, guys. I'm going to the grocery store. Do you guys want to come?" I asked, looking at Zach and Corbyn. They shrugged, Corbyn speaking, "I guess, I do need more cookies."

"Well, I need food." Zach said, putting his phone in his pocket, "Leggo!"

"Okay." I said, grabbing my phone, wallet and keys. I entered my car and we got in, driving to the supermarket. I parked it and we got out. We entered, separating ways to find our own valued unhealthy food. I picked out some cheez-its and some chips, before heading to the fruit section, getting some bowls of precut watermelon. I then went to the frozen aisle, grabbing some ice cream for Jonah and ice cream bars and fudgesicles for Jack. I grabbed some soda and juice, some bottled water before heading back to the produce section. I grabbed some apples, oranges, bananas, and pineapple. Then I head off to the meat section, grabbing some chicken, ground beef, bacon, and some hamburgers. Then we went back to our rendezvous. Corbyn, has some cookies and chocolates in his cart. Zach has chips and biscuits. "Let's go."

"Here, guys. I'll pay. Don't worry about it." I said, taking my wallet out.

"You sure, bro?" Corbyn asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't." I said, paying the cashier.

"Well, thanks." Zach said, helping carry the foods. I overheard a cashier arguing with a woman. The woman looks like she doesn't speak English. I looked at Zach and Corbyn, "You guys go tl the car. I'll be right out."

"You sure?" Zach asked. I just nod and tossed the keys to them, which Corbyn caught.

"What seems to be the problem?" I asked.

"I can't seem to understand what she's saying. It's not English." He replied. I can tell the woman is Brazilian, so I decided to communicate with her in Portuguese. She told me that she's a single mom with four children and she hasn't gotten her food stamps for the month yet. I told the cashier what the woman said and he nodded, finding a way to fix the problem.

"I'll pay for her groceries." I said, handing the cashier the money. He took it and pack the groceries. The woman told me thanks and then left. I exited the store, finding my two best friends waiting for me in the car. Zach raised his brow, "What took you so long?"

I explained what happened and they just look at me, processing what I just told them.

"That's very kind of you, Daniel." Corbyn said, looking back at the front and starting the engine.

"Good job." Zach said, smiling as he gave me a thumbs up.

"So what else do you guys want to do?" I asked as Corbyn drive. He glanced at me through the mirror, "Well, we were planning on inviting the guys over. Like, to complete us five. You know, shoot a mash up or something."

"Sounds cool." I said, "And Leia is a videographer. Maybe we can ask her to shoot it for us."

"She'll probably bring Jonah along so that's good." Zach added.

"Imma call them." I didn't have Leia's number so I called Jonah. He picked up by the third ring, "Hey, man."

"Hey."

"What's up?"

"Want to meet up and film a mashup?"

"Uh, hold on a sec." He paused, talking to someone on the other line, "Yeah, man. But, I'm bringing Leia with me."

"Okay, cool."

"So, where we gonna meet up?"

"How about the park?"

"Be there in ten." Then he hung up.

Leia was asleep on the couch when Daniel called. I felt bad about waking her up but I have to.

"Leia?" I said, lightly shaking her. She groaned, "Go awaaaaayyy. I'm sleeping."

"Baby, we have to go."

"What’s so important that you had to wake me up?" She groaned, putting the blanket over her face.

"Well, the guys wanted to shoot a mash up. I can't just leave you here." I said.

"Okay fine." She said, sitting up and putting her shoes on. I grabbed her hand as we walked to my car. I started the engine and drove to the park. She was on her phone as I drive. I parked and we got out of the car. I grabbed her hand as we look for the boys.

"Over there." She pointed to the boys standing under a big tree. We walked over as they looked at us, well, more on our intertwined hands. They raised their brows at me.

"Yes. She's my girlfriend." I stated. They cheered and got excited and I just smiled. Leia sat on a park bench while we film our mashup. We called Jack to come over and he was accompanied by Sam. Sam walked over to Leia and sat next to her.

"Hey." I said as Sam sat beside me. She smiled, "Hey."

"What's up?" I asked.

"Well... A lot has happened today." She said, exasperated, "Remember this morning when the principal called me and Jack followed?"

"Yes." I said.

"Well, turns out, the principal is Jack's dad. And... Jack might be leaving. So, he's staying with me tonight. Hopefully. I get to make him stay." Sam sighed.

"Why would he leave?" I asked.

"Because of the rumors." She replied, looking down.

I sighed, "I don't want him to go too."

"I feel like I just made it worse." She muttered.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well, he wouldn't have gotten into a fight with those girls if I didn't help him. He wouldn't have been kicked out of the house by his father, if it wasn't for me. He wouldn't have talked to his dad again if it wasn't for me." She sighed, "I feel like I'm just making Jack's life worse."

"Don't say that." I said. She just looked down at her hands, keeping quiet. "Sam." I continued, but she just shook her head. "You're not making his life worse." I said, placing a hand on her forearm. She just looked at it, "How can you say that?"

"I just know that you didn't." I said. She just sighed, looking down again, "Thanks, Leia. But, I don't think Jack thinks that too."

"Just talk to him." I said.

"I'll talk to him at the house."
