Jack Avery's P.O.V.

I woke up due to someone shaking me lightly.

"Nooooo." I groaned, hugging my pillow tighter. Or, what I assumed is a pillow, "Jack, baby. Wake up. It's almost dinner time."

I opened my eyes lightly, seeing Sam giving me a small smile, "Hey, sleepyhead."

"Hmm, hi..." I noticed my arms around her, realizing that my pillow was her. She ran her fingers through my hair, "Had a good sleep?"

I nod, burying my face on her neck. She paused her hand at the top of my hair, "Jack, come on. You have to eat something."

"Okay..." I mumbled, making her look down at me, "You want me to bring you food here or do you want to go downstairs?"

"I'll come downstairs." She nodded, helping me up from my comfortable position on the bed. We made our way downstairs and sat on the table.

"Here." She sat nearer to me, grabbing a spoonful of food, "Say ah."

"What?"

"Open your mouth, sleepyhead." She said, placing the spoon near the tip of my lips. It's just like how moms feed their babies. I just looked at her oddly. She pouted, "Alright, fine." She placed my spoon back on my plate, "I'm not gonna baby you anymore."

"I-I kind of liked it..." I admitted, looking down. I felt a grab on my chin, making me look up. She smiled at me, "Open your mouth, Jacky."

I opened my mouth, and she put the spoon in my mouth. She smiled at me when I chewed, "You look so cute."

I just smiled back. I didn't really have a mom growing up and my dad wasn't really the greatest person back then. Well, up til now to be honest. So, I kinda missed out on all the normal kid stuff. After dinner, we decided to watch a movie. I looked at her as her eyes beamed with excitement to what we're watching.

"I love you."

She looked at me, smiling, "I love you too, Jack."

While we were cuddling, she spoke, "You know, Corbyn dropped by earlier. He gave me an idea."

"Okay, what is it?" I asked, looking at her as I stroke her hair. She gave me a wide smile, "Let's go on a vacation."

"To where? And what for?" I asked, not really remembering any occasion.

"Anywhere. And, it's for you! Don't worry, my treat!" She beamed, babbling about different cities like Paris, New York, London, and so many more.

"Babe, slow down. You're going like a mile a minute."

"Oops." She said, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. I chuckled, "It's okay."

"So, are you in?" She asked, hopeful. I nodded.

"Yay!" She cheered, clapping before jumping onto me and kissing me. I kissed back, wrapping my arms around her. She pulled away, excitement in her eyes, "This is gonna be fun!"

We were on the sofa, planning for the vacation. At first, we decided to go to Paris, then Hawaii and lastly, New York.

"Now that that's decided," she stood up, "Let's pack our bags."

"Okay."

We were now at the airport, our luggages right behind us. We went through the TSA. Since I travelled a lot, I'm used to this. I took off my shoes, doing the normal routine. Sam looked at me and just followed what I was doing. I put my suitcase in a bin, my laptop bag in another, and my backpack, shoes and belt in a third bin. Sam raised a brow but just followed. We got through TSA and Sam looked at me, "You travel a lot?"

"Yeah, why?"

"How come?"

"Cause my dad kept following Isla and I so we had to keep moving."

"Oh. Sorry for bringing it up."

"Babe, it's okay. You didn't know. Don't worry." She just gave me a sheepish smile and grabbed my hand, rubbing her thumb on it. We picked up our bag, sitting in the terminal, waiting for our flight to be called. I sighed, "This is so boring."

She looked at me, aghast, "You... Don't want to go on vacation?"

The moment I saw the frown on her face, I quickly wanted to take my words back, "No, I do. I'm talking about sitting around waiting for the flight. That's always boring." I said, waving my hand in defense, "I'm soooo excited to go on vacation! It's gonna be so much fun!"

She smiled and I sighed in relief, "Well, that's good then."

I kissed her forehead and she quickly hid her face on my shoulder, "Jack. Public."

"Right. Sorry." She shook her head, looking at me. I can see the tint of pink in her cheeks, "You don't have to apologize. I'm just not really used to... Yeah."

"Can I ask, why don't you like PDA?" I asked, looking at her. The blush on her cheeks just reddens, "W-well, I-I, uh."

"It's okay you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"Well, to be honest, it's because of my parents. They've always wanted me to be married to some rich guy. That's why I ran away. And when I start having boyfriends, I don't know how, but, whenever my parents found out, they always do something for me to break up with them. And, I... I just don't want the same to happen to us." She said, looking down.

"That won't ever happen to us. I promise." She smiled at me, about to hold my hand when she stops. She placed her hand back on her lap and just look down.

"Babe, it's okay. You can hold my hand." I said, extending my hand out to her.

She looked at it, hesitated, before grabbing it and smiling. I smiled, "See?"

She just nodded, laying her head on my shoulder. I smiled, "I love you."

"I love you too, Jack. And guess what?"

"What?"

"Waiting for the flight isn't so bad at all."

"When I'm with you, it's great." She giggled, smiling.

"That's good, then. I'm never leaving your side."

Our flight number got called. We stood up, presenting our boarding pass and the lady scans it and gave it back to us. We got on the plane and sit in our designated seats, which are in the middle. I looked at her, "Have you ever flown before, baby?"

"Just once." She said, holding on to the armrests.

"You look nervous. Are you okay?" She nodded, although, it doesn't really show that she's okay, "It's been a long time since I've been on a plane. I never thought I'd ride one again."

"It's gonna be okay." I said as the plane takes off. A few minutes later, we both fell asleep.
