Jack Avery's P.O.V.
I carried Sam over my shoulder, laying her on the passenger's seat.
"I can't believe you did that!" I scolded as I get in the drivers seat.
"What's your problem?" She scoffed, crossing her arms.
"Underage drinking is the problem! Don't you realize how dangerous that is?" I said, starting the engine, "And you did it while my best friend is sick? Sam, what the hell?!"
She mumbled something under her breath that I couldn't quite hear before she turned to the door, fiddling with the lock. I locked the car, "You aren't getting out. I mean it. And don't you dare argue with me."
She rolled her eyes, "Fuck off, Jack."
She still tried to fiddle with the lock, pulling on the holder, "Why. Won't. This. Work."
I rolled my eyes, driving to her house. Thankfully, she fell asleep on the way. I brought her to bed, tucking her in. I kissed her forehead, sighing right after before going to my apartment. I sighed, sitting on my couch. What did I do to make Sam and ai always argue? I got up, going to the bathroom, looking at my reflection in the mirror. Out of nowhere, I punched the mirror, watching the glass break. I looked down at my bleeding hand before having a nervous breakdown. I ended up in a hospital. The door opened, showing Jonah and Leia.
"Dude, what happened?" Jonah asked.
"I don't wanna talk about it..." I said, looking down. Leia looked around, "Where's Sam? You two fight again?"
"Yeah, we did, okay? She gets drunk and thinks it's okay, and thinks that I won't get mad at her, and when I do, she gets mad. I don't understand. I know she's had a difficult life, but so have I. She can't just drink her problems away. She could at least try talking to me. She's not considering how her actions are affecting me." I ranted, throwing my hands in frustration.
"Woah, woah. Calm down." Jonah said, making Leia sigh, "I'll talk to her when she's sober."
"Fine. But, right now, I just want to be alone for a while. Sorry, guys." I said, to which they nodded, "It's okay."
"We'll be right out if you need us." Before I could go, my mind changed it's decision, "Actually, could one of you stay?"
Leia looked at Jonah, "I'll go talk to Sam. You stay here with Jack?"
Jonah nodded, kissing her temples, "Be careful, alright? Text me when you get there."
"I will." Leia left the room and Jonah approached me, "What happened to your hand?"
"I punched my bathroom mirror and it broke."
"Dude, you shouldn't let your anger get the best of you." He said, looking at my stitched up, bandaged hand. I sighed, "Well, maybe, I wouldn't be so angry if Sam would actually talk to me about her problems."
"You know Sam. She always want to act so independent even though she helps others a lot." He shrugged, sitting on the bed.
"Yeah, I know. It's just frustrating. And don't get me wrong, I love her. I really do. I just wish that she would talk to me." I said, fidgeting with my fingers.
"Bro, don't worry. I know that sooner or later, she'll open up to you." He said, trying to comfort me.
"Yeah, right. If she was going to open up to me, she would have done it by now." I scoffed, rolling my eyes.
"Don't tell me you're giving up on her now."
"I'm not. I'm just getting tired of trying. It's not her I'm giving up on, it's trying to get her to open up to me that I'm giving up on." I explained. *I would never give up on Sam.*
"Dude. Just give it time." He sighed.
Soleia Livingston's P.O.V.
I was at Sam's house when she woke up, her hand on her head, "Fuck. My head's killing me."
"Mhmm. Well, you had like five beers."
"Five? I counted it to be... Fifteen, I think." She said, walking to the sofa. I sighed, "Sam..."
She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, yeah. I know what you're gonna say. Grow up and be mature. Beer won't help you with the problem. Heard it all before."
"That's not what I was going to say. I was going to tell you about what happened to Jack." I corrected. She scrunched her eyebrows in confusion, "What? What do you mean? What happened to Jack?"
"He's in the hospital."
"What?!" She said, shocked, "What happened?!"
"Well, he punched his bathroom mirror and it broke then he had a nervous breakdown and passed out." I summarized.
"What the–" She quickly stood up, before groaning in pain, putting a hand on her temples. She groaned, still making her way to a door, grabbing her keys.
"Sam, you're not going anywhere." I said, taking her keys.
"Leia, I need to get to Jack. I need to make sure he's okay." She said, attempting to grab the keys.
"Then, I'll drive." I said, handing her some sunglasses, "Put these on."
"What are these for?" She asked, opening the door as we walked towards the car.
"Because it's bright outside and you're super hungover." I said, opening the door to the car. She climbed in, putting the sunglasses. I drove to the hospital, parking at an empty space. We started walking towards Jack's room when she looked down, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.
"It'll be okay. I'll leave you two alone. Just talk to him." I said, trying to comfort her.
"What if I messed up?" She asked.
"He said that he still loves you and that he wouldn't give up on you."
"I'm scared. I don't want to lose him, Leia." She admitted. I can see years brim her eyes. In all my life, this is actually the first time I'm gonna see her cry. I sighed, "I know. You won't lose him. I'll be right outside."
She nodded as we stopped in front of Jack's door.
"Go in." I encouraged her. The door opened and Jonah came out, "He's waiting for you."
Sam nodded, entering the room before Jonah closed the door.
Samantha Johnson's P.O.V.
The tension settled in the moment Jonah closed the door. I felt my throat ran dry as we looked at each other, not knowing what to say. Jack just looked at me and I muster up all the courage to speak.
"Sorry for getting drunk last night..." I said, rubbing my arm. He sighed, "Please don't do it again."
I looked down, nodding.
"Come here please?" He requested. I made my way to him, keeping my gaze on the floor. He sat up on the bed, "I'm sorry for shouting at you. I just wish you would talk to me when you're upset or going through something. It just hurts me to see you this way and know that I cant do anything to help because you won't let me."
This guy is a pure angel.
"Thank you..." Was all I managed to say. I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. He hugged back before I pulled away, "Jack, thank you. Thank you for always being there. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry that it's hard for me to open up to someone but, you still stayed. Thank you, Jack. Please don't leave."
"I won't ever leave. I promise." I smiled before placing my lips on his. He kissed back, making me smile into the kiss. He pulled away, "I love you, Sam."
"I love you too, Jack."
