Jonah Marais' P.O.V.
"What do you want to order?" The waitress asked us. We decided to go out for dinner since we're too lazy to cook. Leia ordered four cheese Mac and cheese with chicken tenders in honey pepper sauce, and I did the same. The rest had different orders. After the waitress told us our order, for confirmation, she nodded and said, "Right. I'll be right back later."
She looked at Jack and winked at him before turning around and going to the kitchen. Jack ignored her while we decided to change the topic.
"So, they have a karaoke here." Zach piped up.
"Yeah." Daniel said.
"Let's sign up." Corbyn added.
"Sure. Sam, you gonna sign up?" Jack asked, turning to look at her.
"For murder?" I heard her mumble. She cleared her throat, "Nah. Leia?"
Jack made puppy dog eyes at Sam, knowing that she can't resist them no matter how hard she tries, "Please..."
Sam looked away as Leia answered, "No way. Karaoke is for people who have actual musical talent and ability. I am not one of those people."
"Baby, that ain't true." I said, grabbing her hand.
"Yes, it is. I can't sing nor play any musical instruments." Leia rebutted, Sam, looking at her with a raised brow. Jack leaned over Sam's shoulder, "Please babeeee."
Sam shrugged him off just as the waitress came back. She put the tray on our table, "Here's your food." Then looked at Jack, giving him a sweet smile while batting her eyelashes, "Anything else you want, sweetie?"
"Um...how about you to stop flirting with me? I have a girlfriend and she's sitting right next to me." And we looked over to Sam who looks like she's about to murder the waitress. She rolled her eyes before leaving. I chuckled, "Damn, Jack."
"What?" Jack asked, "I didn't know you'd flip the waitress like that."
"Well, it was making me uncomfortable. What else was I supposed to do?"
"Chill, man." I said, raising my hands in defense.
"I am chill. I wasn't snapping at you." He said, Daniel butting in, "Guys, let's eat."
"Okay. Is anyone gonna sign up for karaoke?" Jack asked.
"You guys are." Sam said, taking a scoop of her chocolate sundae.
"Okay." We all turned to look at Leia. I asked, "Babe, you signing up?"
"I don't know.I mean, it sounds fun, but I can't sing." Leia reasoned as Sam, once again, looked at her in disbelief. Leia looked at Sam, "What?"
Sam shook her head, Zach piping up, "Well, let's go sign up!"
Leia sighed, "Fine."
"There we go." I said, smiling at Leia. I grabbed her hand as we signed up. I smiled as Leia wrote her name down. We all sat down after putting our names in. Jack's name gets called first and he gets up, walking to the stage. He grabbed the mic and the music started to play.
Daniel followed after him.
And soon enough, it was Corbyn.
Third to the last is Zach
And then, me. I kept on looking at Leia as I sing my song.
And then, it was her turn. I watched as she walked on the stage, smiling at her. I can feel the guys nudging my shoulder but I just shrugged them off.
